Strawberry Delight

Image
Don't you just love summer days feasting on strawberries and cream? I wonder how many more days of summer we shall be enjoying - the children go back to school soon and I expect Autumn will then be just around the corner. Here is a summery card to cheer up the grey day we are having here in Bridgnorth today. I've used my tailor Made Tags and mini Cut 'n' Emboss machine again and I have adorned my tag with some images from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. I do love this set  - I think i love it just as much as I love munching on the real thing! I am entering this card into the following two challenges: Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with a Die Color My Heart Color Dare Opposite colours on the colour wheel ( I have used red and green) Thanks for stopping by today - hope to see you again soon - J xx    I am a Stampin' Up Demonstrator - if you would like to purchase any of the items you have seen in my post or the catalogue in the side bar - please get in touch. Tailor Made Tags and a Pansy or Two

Image
The new Annual Catalogue has been live for a while now but I'm only just starting to play with my new stamps. Gone are the days when upon receiving a parcel I would tear it open, drag it all out and play with each and every item. Now the items are neatly stacked on my shelves and have to wait patiently till I have to time to use them. Today however I have a pretty little card that I created using the new Pansy Patch Stamp set. These are two step stampers which means that one stamp is used in a pale ink and another stamped on top to add detail in a darker ink. My choice of colour for theses pretty little flowers - Highland Heather. I stamped off with the ink to add the first layer and then used the ink full strength to add the second layer. Another new product that I used was the Tailor Made Tags These tags are so versatile and can be used as a focal point or just for a simple sentiment - I can see myself using these time and time again. Also they are perfect for using with the mini

A little update

Good morning, it's been a long time since my last post! My mum has Alzheimer's and it's been a bit of a struggle. So bad that in early July I suffered a breakdown. Thankfully I contacted the right people for help and I have been slowly getting myself better. I have some lovely carers who look after mum five nights a week and I am now having some day care care - today is the first Tuesday morning and I have four lovely hours to myself. While I was recovering however a small heart problem was picked up and I have been diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation so time to myself is doubly important now. Not much crafting has been done except a little beading and knitting - things I can do next to mum. She's not very happy with me and makes me feel extremely guilty for leaving her with a carer but I am determined that I am going to do some papercrafting again! I do hope you are still out there as I am hoping to start sharing my creations again. I also have a Facebook page so you c

Feeling Nautical

Image
So I dug out an old favourite - Sailing Home and it's matching dies and I used up a few scraps from my stash and I came up with this card - take a look I found some scraps of Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Pacific Point card stock and decided to stamp my images onto the Crumb Cake with a Memento ink pad. The images were then coloured in using my Polychromos pencils (I've had them for years and not used them!) I then die cut them out using my new Mini Cut and Emboss machine (oh my gosh this machine is amazing). I arranged my images and scraps - channeling a little  Narelle Farrugia  - and added my sentiment. Here are just a few of the items I used to make this card I am a Stampin' Up Demonstrator - if you would like to purchase any of the items you have seen in my post or the catalogue in the side bar - please get in touch. You can leave a comment or send me an email: jacquelinenm68@gmail.com Items can be ordered through me and delivered directly to your door (p+p is £4.95)

A Few Cards

Image
It's been a while since I last posted: my health is not all I'd like it to be and looking after mum has meant somethings have been neglected. However when I have had the chance to craft - I have! Sometimes it's been early in the morning and sometimes it's been late at night but I have crafted! So here are a few cards I recently made So this started out as a sheet of A4 Daffodil Delight card stock. Various flowers were stamped in White Craft Ink and then the details over stamped with pink inks. green leaves were added along with ribbon and sentiments. It's good to be back - J xx

Scraps of Jade

Image
Don't you just hate it when you have loads of little scraps hanging around the place? Mine get thrown into a box never to see the light of day again! However today I decided to have a go at using some of them up.  I fished out some of the Just Jade DSP scraps and die cut them with some of my Stitched Nested Labels. It was a bit fiddly fitting some of the scraps in but I managed to get enough to arrange on a C6 card base - take a look I wanted to add some stamped images so I reached for my Butterfly Gala set - I don't use this one very often but I have a matching punch that cuts them out perfectly.  The card still looked a bit empty so I added a hand drawn frame around it and a couple of sentiments - also from the Bytterfly Gala set. That and a few enamel dots finished the card off nicely. This card will be entered into the challenge over at the  Rainbow Card Challenge Blog Thanks for stopping by today - hope to see you again soon - J xx

Tic, Tac, Toe!

Image
Oh my goodness - where did February go???? I know it's a short month but honestly one minute it was there and then poof - gone!!!! I haven't been doing much crafting really - battling with my fibro and taking care of mum. Mum has been Pfizered but I'm still waitng for my jab - thankfully we are both well and covid free. So today I have my DT card for the challenge over at Christmas 24 It's a Tic Tac Toe recipe this time and here is the grid to choose from I choose a diagonal line: DIE CUTS, RIBBON, SEQUINS Here is my card For this card I used the now retired Ornamental Envelopes Bundle. I purchased this set but for some reason didn't use it in time for last Christmas - thank goodness for Christmas challenge blogs!! I also CASEd a card I'd seen by my blog friend Kerry Timms - she makes fabulous cards and I needed a bit of inspiration! Please do pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at all the other wonderful DT cards. See you soon - J x

Hello Little One

Image
So I have a card for you that I am entering into three challenges!!! (Thus continuing my resolution to take part in more challenges!!) I loved making this card - I had a really good play with sponging, masking, colouring and cutting out. And here it is I used up some of my retired DSP for this card as it had some lovely snowflakes on and I sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink. My middle panel is sponged to represent a snowy landscape with the foxes sleeping in their underground hole. The foxes are from the Wildly Happy stamp set and I water coloured them with Crajun Craze ink. I am entering this card into the following challenges Make My Monday HELLO Sunday Stamps The Paper Players That's it for today - join me on Facebook on Friday for my next live crafting video and I will see you soon - J xx

Hope I'm not boring you but ...........

Image
Yep - more dragonflies. This is the last one for a while and was the subject of last Friday's Facebook Live video. I took inspiration from Christine Blain's card  HERE  but instead of using just one colour I used quite a few! come and see I took various strips of the Dandy Garden DSP and cut them into 1" squares. I then randomly attached them to a piece of Rich Razzelberry card sock. I couldn't fit four along so I added a piece of the Braided Linen Thread. I added two circles - one for the sentiment (from Dragonfly Garden) and one for the dragonflies. These were punched from the DSP. I finally added some gems coloured with a Night of Navy blend pen. You will be glad to know that I am moving on to another stamp set now - Art Gallery. Perhaps you saw my Facebook Live yesterday where I made three notecards with it? If not I will be live around 3pm this afternoon with some more live crafting - hope to see you there. Bye for now - J xx

More Dragonflies

Image
I am still in love with my dragonfly stamps and punch so any opportunity I get I am playing with them. Here's a card I made recently This time it was just the Dandy Garden DSP - I punched the dragonflies from the papers as the punch works with both the stamps and the papers. I distressed the paper using my scissors - an old blunt pair not my snips. It's something I haven't done for a while but it does add a bit of texture to the card. The sentiment is from the Dragonfly Garden set. All products can be ordered from me -why not take a look in the Mini Catalogue in my side bar. For every £45 or £90 spend you can choose a free Sale-a-bration gift. Thanks for stopping by - see you soon - J x

A Fun Sketch Challenge

Image
I've made a pact with myself to take part in more challenges this year - so here goes. The challenge is over at  CAS Colours & Sketches And this is my card There were so many things that went wrong with this card! Firstly it was my second attempt at the sketch as the first was too fussy and not CAS enough. Then I tried to stamp my sentiment - it went wrong so I had to add another dragonfly - a small one. I then tried to stamp the sentiment again, messed up again and added a banner over the top of it! I was so glad when I'd finished it! Would you like to see my first attempt? Too much patterned paper don't you think? Details for all the products used can be found in the Mini Catalogue found in the side bar. If you would like to place an order do let me know - thanks. See you soon - J x

White on White

Image
Hello - it's time for another challenge over at CHRISTMAS 24 No other colours except black or gray for a sentiment. Here is my card Just a very clean and simple card using the Detailed Dove dies (now retired). I die cut the dove's wings and made them into angel wings just adding a simple pearl for embellishment. The sentimet is from the Dove of Hope stamp set (also retired). Do pop over and take a look at all the exquisite DT cards and I will see you soon - J x

Finishing off my Cards

Image
So, after I had made my cards yesterday I finished them off by stamping on the inside. This is something I have neglected to do for a while so I am making a conscious effort to do so now. Just a sentiment and a bit of floral stamping is all that's needed Don't forget your envelopes either - just think how excited someone would be recieving an envelope in the post that's been hand stamped And then on the back of your card you could stamp (or write) who the card has been hand stamped by. Don't forget that if you are selling a handmade card that has used Stampin' Up products it should also carry the Stampin' Up logo These are just extra little touches you can add to your cards to make them more professional which is great if you sell them at craft fairs - also means that if they love your work they can find you again to order more! Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon - J xx

'Wing it Wednesday' One Sheet Wonder

Image
Hello - how are you? I do hope you are feeling safe and well. Today's post is all about my Facebook Live from yesterday. I did a one sheet wonder using a sheet of A4 card stock. This was cut up to make four A6 cards. I used my new set Art Gallery and the not so new All Things Fabulous - here are my cards The one sheet wonder is created by stamping multiple images on to the A4 card stock - mine started like this I had great fun stamping this as you can see in the video and if you take a look at the last card with the ribbon you will see how this was nearly a disaster - I was quite pleased with the way I managed to save it! Art Gallery is part of the Fine Art Floral suite in the Mini Catalogue and All Things Fabulous is in the Annual Catalogue - both can be found in my side tab. Join me later today for more live crafting - see you soon - J xx
