Mid-week Motivation Time

Image
Today over on the  Make My Monday  challenge blog it's time for the Mid-week Motivation. This week for my dt card I made a Recessed Window card and I have been asked to do a tutorial for it - so pop on over to the blog and take a look at all the details on how to make this card I have used some K&Company Blue Awning paper, some Creative Expressions alphabet stamps, a butterfly stamp (can't remember where from!) and a Tim Holtz Pointer. I also used some Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Here are a couple of close ups I am also entering this card into the  Flutter By Wednesday's  challenge - the challenge is open, just make sure you include a butterfly, fairy or angel. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

Image
Morning all - thanks for stopping by, I have a recessed window card today for my dt piece over on  Make My Monday . The subject this week is BUTTERFLIES AND DRAGONFLIES - together or separately. Here is my card The base card is a piece of red SU card stock with Very Vanilla for stamping on. My main butterfly is a stamp quickly snaffled from Louise last week especially for this card and the rest is a Stampin' Up set - Nature Walk. The dragonfly is from Organic Grace. This is our final Nature challenge so why not pop over and take a look. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

A Fleeting Visit.

This is ever such a rushed post - I'm working flat out getting every thing up together for the BIG festival that's happening in our village this weekend. I have to be on site tomorrow morning at 7.00am to set up!!! But any how here is the piccie of the card we made last night at my workshop The card has a little recessed window for the nest to fit in like so: And then when you open it up it looks like this: All the images are from the Stampin' Up set Nature Walk. That's it for today - please keep your fingers crossed for sunshine over the next couple of days - see you soon - Jacqueline xx.

Last of the Lovely Trees.

Image
Hi folks, I think I mentioned in one of my previous posts that I had recently been to a Stampin' Up party and that while I was awaiting the delivery of 'New Stash' was playing with Lovely as a Tree. Well this is the last - I think I am all played out with the trees - at least for a little while. This is the card we all made at the party This was made using Chocolate Chip and So Saffron card stock and a small piece of the Naturals Ivory. The tree in the foreground was attached using dimensionals which added a nice 3D effect. I then had a play at home and came up with something a little similar The main card stock is Bazzill Basics - Burning Ember with a small piece of S'U Bravo Burgundy to make a frame and a mat behind the trees. This is actually a 'Recessed Window Card' and the trees on the frame have been stuck on with 3D foam pads - it might be easier to see this in the next picture I thought that this would be a good 'man' card - they are so diff...

Flight of the Butterfly.

Image
Good evening everyone. Just a quick post before I go to bed - it's nearly 10 and I'm feeling pretty tired. I have had a busy day preparing for my workshop tomorrow. We are using the Stampin' Up stamp set Flight of the Butterfly and I made a couple of cards to inspire my ladies - take a look This is called a recessed window card and I got the idea from a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial on You Tube. Apart from the stamp set I used the Butterfly Punch and some Elegant Eggplant card stock and ink. I used my trusty Cuttlebug for the corners and embossing and the sentiment stamp from Bird on a Branch. Not being content to just make one card - oh no - I revisited You Tube and found this idea for a stair step card For this card I used Sage Shadow and Always Atichoke and various paper punches. We are going to be making a 'Card in a Bag' tomorrow morning so please pop back to see the results. I will also have my completed 'Flip Album' from last week's workshop to sho...
