Quick Make and Takes

Image
I've done a couple of Hostess Parties recently and got the ladies present making these cute little note cards for their make and takes These are simply pieces of card stock 4" x 8" folded in half. Pieces of DSP have been cut with another piece of white card stock cut to the same size (3.75" x 3.75"). One of the stamps from Mixed Bunch was stamped in the corner of the card stock before being punched out using the matching Blossom Punch. Smaller portions of the flower were then 'munched' from two sides. It was then attached to the DSP and mounted on to the card base with Dimensionals. The punched flower was also attached using a Dimensional. Really quick and easy and perfect as a little gift set. Materials - Stampin' Up Stamps: Mixed Bunch Ink: Certain Celery, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue Card Stock: Whisper White Paper: Subtles Collection DSP Accessories: Blossom Punch, Dimensionals (Please e-mail me for details on ordering any ...

Scrappin' with Summer Silhouettes

Image
I have a scrap book page to show you today made using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set - I love it so much! I also have a great fondness for Crumb Cake card stock and so I used that as my base - take a look My banners were actually scrap pieces - I just stamped and sponged them (much better than binning them don't you think?) The photos are of my Grandma and Granddad - no longer with us now, Granddad passed away at Christmas so this was quite an emotional piece to do. I will add some journaling later before I put it in my album. Here's a close up Aren't those flower heads stunning? My little journaling tabs were made by inserting more scrap strips into  the Blossom punch half way so it only partially punches I think it gives an interesting shape and also uses up more scraps! Materials - Stampin' Up Stamps: Summer Silhouettes Ink: Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock: Crumb Cake (12" x 12") Naturals Ivory Accesso...

Freshly Made Sketches

Image
Freshly Made Sketches How great is this sketch? I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and thought it was the perfect opportunity to use my gorgeous new SU Blossom Punch - take a look I have used some of my Timeless Portrait DSP along with my favourite colour card stock Cherry Cobbler. My smaller flowers are made using the Boho Blossoms Punch and Island Indigo card stock with a jewelled brad in the centre. My sentiment is from the 'My Friend' stamp set. Just hope I can find a suitable envelope for this creation as some of my elements are off the page - I thought it was a good idea at the time!! The link to the challenge is under the sketch, bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Thank You Gifts

Image
I had to cancel a lot of my workshops last month but as you know they started back up today and as a little thank you for their patience (and for coming back!) I made all my ladies a little gift (everyone who attends one of my workshops in September will get one too). These are little 2" x 2" pads of post it notes that I have covered with card stock, some scraps of decorative papers and then a punched Blossom flower. Boho Blossoms punch was also called into action together with a bit of bling and a keyring. If you live in and around the Malvern area and would like to come along to one of my workshops (the next one is on Sept 18th) e-mail me on deezinesart@gmail.com for details and you too could get one of these pretty keyrings. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

ATS - Sketch #2

Image
Kylie has designed a gorgeous sketch for us to follow this week at  Addicted to Stamps , come and take a look Here is my card I must admit that I tend to follow sketches as they are set out and I have done that here. I have used Stampin' Up DSP, ribbon, bakers twine and button - all of which I managed to get free as I am in a 'Stampers 6' club. My flower is made from the Blossom Punch and my stamped sentiment is from Field Flowers. I used one of my favourite crafting supplies too - my Liquid Pearls to accent the corners. The dt have made some stunning cards for you to see this week and they are waiting for a visit from you over on the  blog  so i really hope we see you over there - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Retro Sketches Sympathy Card

Image
One last card for today, this time for  Retro Sketches  (sorry did the title give it away?) - take a look I recently acquired a new set - Love and Sympathy so I decided to have a play with it to make this card I have used some Twitterpated DSP, Basic Black, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler card stock. My new Blossom punch is getting a thorough workout as I'm using it on everything!! I've also added some flat backed black gems as a finishing touch. Off to see granddad tomorrow - he's doing OK, still can't see so I'm paying him a visit and cooking him lunch. It means getting up really early in the morning and as my daughter is driving us I will have to drag her out of bed too!! See you soon - Jacqueline xx
