Make My Monday - Pink and Black

Image
Good morning - it's Monday and that means another challenge over on the  Make My Monday  challenge blog. This week Caz has chosen our theme and she wants to see cards or projects using the colours Here is my card I have used a stamp today that I have never used before (hanging my head in shame), what's more it's retired and unfortunately not available any more however, that's no reason not to use it! It's from last year's Hostess selection 'Simply Soft'. the flower branches were stamped in black Stazon ink onto Rose card stock, the flowers were then coloured with a white gel pen - this gave them a lovely pale pink colour. The card was then mounted on to black and a sentiment added. All materials are Stampin' Up Stamps: Simply Soft (retired), Love and Sympathy  Ink: Black Stazon Card Stock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Basic Black Accessories: White Gel Pen (All Stampin' Up products can be ordered through me and delive...

MMM - Flowers and Leaves

Image
Hi all, today's challenge over on the  Make My Monday  blog is FLOWERS AND LEAVES Here is my card My Magnolia stamp is from the SU Simply Soft Hostess set and I have coloured it with Stampin' Write markers in Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. My leaves are from French Foliage and are also coloured with Lucky Limeade. My card stock is Basic Black and Wisteria Wonder - a black silk bow adds the finishing touch. Please pop over and see what my fellow dt ladies have come up with - they are pretty spectacular. I would also like to say 'hi' to my new followers - welcome I hope you enjoy what you see - Jacqueline xx

It's those flowers again!

Image
I know I have been using this image rather excessively lately - but it is so lovely and here I have used it in conjunction with this week's colour challenge at  Simply Stampin' . I don't have any Pink Pirouette card stock so I used Blushing Bride instead - hope that's OK ladies?! The image is from Simply Soft and I have coloured the flowers with Stampin' Write markers outlining the flowers in the Pool Party - I also added some highlights with a white gel pen. The sentiment is from Precious Butterflies and I also added a few pearls and flat backed gems to bling it up a bit!! Thanks for looking - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Less is More - Predominantly Purple

Image
The challenge at  Less is More  this week is just that - Predominantly Purple. One of my favourite stamps to use at the moment is from the SU Hostess set - Simply Soft, here is my card I have used a variety of Stampin' Write markers to colour my flowers in starting with a pale pink (Blushing Bride). This was then coloured over with Wisteria Wonder and finally some Concord Crush was added to deepen the colour. The sentiment from Vintage Vogue was stamped in Concord Crush. I couldn't bring myself to leave the flower stems so I'm afraid I used some Pear Pizzazz too!! Thanks for looking, bye for now - Jacqueline xx

First Workshop of 2012

Image
Next Tuesday (10th) is the start of my workshops for 2012 and we will be kicking off with a Perforated Bookmark Card. Intrigued?..... take a look The panel on the right hand side of the card is perforated and can be removed to use as a bookmark. A nice easy project I think to start the New Year! It uses a combination of stamp sets - Simply Soft, Precious Butterflies and Butterfly Prints all on top of a brayered background. As always a step by step tutorial will be available after the workshop and details will appear in my side bar should you wish to have a go at making this yourself. I have a little friend hiding behind my laptop as I type this post - would you like to see him? He's sulking because I have taken the Christmas decorations down and he can no longer play Tarzan on the tinsel!! See you soon - Jacqueline xx

Sketch Challenge

Image
The challenge this week at  Simply Stampin,  is a sketch - take a look Here is my card I started with a base of Crumb Cake to which I added some Island Indigo and Pool Party card stock. Stamps used are the gorgeous Agapanthus flowers from Simply Soft coloured with my Stampin' Write markers on Whisper White card stock. Thanks for coming to look today - hope to see you here again soon - Jacqueline xx

Simply Soft Blue Agapanthus

Image
Can you believe that it's nearly November? Not long 'til Christmas either! If you are yearning for those long gone summer days I have a card for you that just says 'summer' to me. My Mum has the most gorgeous garden and in the summer it is full of Agapanthus plants - huge clumps of beautiful blue flowers fill the borders and I love it. So when I received my new hostess set Simply Soft one of the first cards I made with it was with big, blue Agapanthus blooms. It's a two-step stamping system and the stems were stamped first using the new In Colour - Lucky Limeade. I then used a Pool Party marker to colour my stamp and add  in the flowers - I used a stamp positioner for this too. Pool Party card stock was used on Whisper White and I added a little silver clippy thingy to attach the sentiment. Hope this brings back some fond memories of summer for you oh - and don't forget to alter your clocks tonight. Just think we get an extra hour for crafting tomorrow!! ...

Belated Birthday Wishes.

Image
It was Louise's birthday over the weekend and as I was seeing her today I waited 'til today to give her a birthday card. I used my new Hostess set Simply Soft and a couple of the new 'In Colours' Pool Party and Lucky Limeade - take a look This is the box card that was made at my workshop last week. The actual card was made from an A4 sheet of Pacific Point card stock and the flowers were stamped on to Very Vanilla. The card very conveniently opens up to make a box and is just the right size to pop in a little tag or book mark If you would like to make this card - you can pop over to my  Craft club Blog  where you will find a full tutorial. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx
