A Christmas Card

 It’s a long time till Christmas 2026 but crafters usually like to be prepared and have a lovely stash of cards ready for the festive season.

Last year I wasn’t prepared and shock horror I had to buy some cards and I don’t want it to happen again.

Therefore I have rooted out my Christmas stamps and made my first Christmas card of the year.



I used a sketch from a challenge blog that I set up a very long time ago. I had to leave it a while ago but it's lovely to see that it's still going strong and it's my go to site for theme, sketch and colour challenges for Christmas. Here is their current sketch challenge that I used for my card.

  Hello - it’s a long time since I last posted but I was asked to be a Guest Designer in  The Male Room  and I jumped at the chance. I set up the challenge blog a long time ago but had to give it up due to personal reasons. Since then it has carried on splendidly and today is their 200th challenge - how cool is that? So here is the challenge brief: Now to be totally honest with you I am a cat person and I very nearly did a cat card however, a dog is man's best friend and after all this is a male card so.................. Here we have a very excited trio of woofers out in the forest on their walkies! I used Stampin' Up sets for this card: Trees For Sale, Campology and Grassy Grove. Good morning everyone. Firstly I need to make a huge appology - I received loads of lovely comments from you last week but unfortunatly I was taken ill before I could reply to most of you. Yikes - I'm a bit late posting today, but when I got into my studio this morning I had forgotten that it looked like this I had a big family lunch yesterday and 'cos our house is so small, I have to keep stuff moving from room to room in order for there to be enough space. So I got to work straight away and now my desk looks like this There is a hidiously green magnetic board complete with snail magnets that I won in a raffle - just right for altering, some wooden drawer knobs onto which I will attach some foam to use with my disress inks and my chipboard albums from last week that I didn't get round to doing. Also found when clearing from one room to another was my old jewelery display board which will soon be converted to a card display board and an old set of corner shelves. All they needed was a quick flick of a J-Cloth and a spray of Flash (oops advertising - other cleaning products are avaliable) and they now stand proudly in my craft room displaying my most recent cr...
