Colour Theme Gingerbread Men

Image
It's Saturday and that must mean it's time for another challenge over at  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown . This week it's a colour theme and Mynnette has chosen these gorgeous colours for us to play with I loved the image Mynnette had put with her colours and so I based my card around that - take a look My card is DL size and has been decorated with stamps from the S'U sets Snow Flurries and Hung up on the Holidays. My gingerbread men have been stamped and then cut out by hand, they were then attached using 3D foam pads.  My colours are Cream (for the card base), Real Red and Chocolate Chip. I used the Scallop Edge punch to make my border and I added some red ribbon and a bow. Please pop over and take a look at the other dt cards they are really lovely and I hope you have the time to take part too. Have a great weekend - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - Colour Challenge

Image
Well it's that time of the week again and I have two more Christmas cards to show you. It's colour challenge week at  52CCT  and here is the colour combo that Mynnette has chosen for us For my first card I went for squares - lots of them, and added some candy canes from the Hung up on the Holidays set - take a look The candy canes are stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and they are mounted on to green card stock and then onto blue. The Winter Wishes sentiment is from a Papermania set and is stamped in Handsome Hunter ink. Here's a close up My second card uses a stamp from My Friend and I have hung it from fir tree branches (Lovely as a Tree) and then glittered them in blue I think I went a bit over the top with the ribbon - but I like it!! Here is another close up Thanks for looking - don't forgot to skip on over to see  Mynnettes blog  too 'cos she has some lovely things to see too - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Pop-up Penguins.

I had great fun yesterday making this card. It all began with the challenge over on  Simply Stampin'  - they are a challenge site for Stampin' Up fans who love to use Stampin' Up products on their cards. This week the challenge is 'Punch it Up' - that is make something with punches or die cuts etc - and so the fun began. I took my 2 Step Owl Punch (never very far from my side) and punched out some owls using Basic Black card stock, hacked off their ears and this is what I made It's a penguin - the feet were cut out using Summer Sun, his chest is Whisper White and his beak is Pumpkin Pie. The stars are stamped and embossed using Hung Up On The Holidays and the igloo was made using a half circle of card hand embossed and inked with Baja Breeze ink. Want to see inside? ................... take a look More penguins! This time time they are popping up out of the igloos - I also added a Christmas greeting. The background card stock is some that is retired now - Bro...

Birthdays and Bunting.

I think I am just in time with this - it's the Blue Jelly scrapbook challenge and the theme this month is 'Birthdays and Bunting' I had a good rifle through all my boxes of photographs and managed to find some taken at my Daughter's 6th birthday party I used Brocade Blue (retired) for the background and stamped around the edges with two star stamps from Wondrous Gift and Hung Up on the Holidays. The photos have Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose mats (I was trying to use up some scraps) and the bunting is Regal Rose. I used Brocade Blue and Night of Navy ink. I also used a white gel pen to high light some of the journaling. I am off now to post this on to the Blue Jelly  scrapbook challenge - see you after the holidays. Hope you all have a wonderful Easter - Jacqueline xx.

Christmas Cheer.

Christmas is drawing ever closer - only 7 weeks. So I thought I'd show you a card I made using a little ornament set I have I stamped the branches in Garden Green and used that also to go around the edge of the card. I used a home made stamp positioner to join the branches together. (The branch is from the Autumn Days set). I then stamped and cut out the tree ornaments from Hung Up on the Holidays - I used the new Cherry Cobbler ink for this. The sentiment is one I have had for years - also stamped in Cherry Cobbler and I drew the hangers by hand. Hope you are all having fun firework watching - I'm off to a do tonight - weather permitting! Bye for now - Jacqueline xx.
