Where to start..

I have had such a busy time recently - I've been taking part in a local festival (a bit like Glastonbury but without the horrible music and mud!!!!!). I had a stall selling my cards and paper crafted gifts and boy did I melt underneath my tent - phew! But I also took part in something else rather special. The theme of the festival was Masquerade and the local art group decided to take a picture of some masks, blow it up, divide it into 24 separate square and each member paint a square. They also asked local artists (me!) to contribute too. Here is how I started and here is how it finished The whole painting when it was unveiled looked like this If you look along the top row, second from the left - that's mine! It was great fun to do. Now I'm sorry - no cards to show you today. The reason is this little monster This cute little fur ball is Louis - my daughter (who is leaving for uni in but a few short weeks) decided to bring him home last week. Now we live in a tiny,...

Christmas Craft Fair.

This was my stall all set up this morning at 10.30. The lane up to the hall was extremely slippy this morning but I managed to get there OK with the help of my husband - I'm a real wimp when it comes to snow and ice. Last time I fell I broke my wrist and did all sorts of other damage too. Anyway I think that everyone else must be feeling the same as unfortunately the fair didn't get very busy and my stall looked pretty much the same at 2.30 in the afternoon. Had some lovely ladies on stalls next to me - one selling cupcakes (mmmmmm cakes) and the other some gorgeous silver jewellery of coarse both of which I had to buy from - thus spending all my profits!!!! It was great fun though. Hope you are all keeping safe and warm in this nasty weather - see you soon - Jacqueline xx.

Is it me......

......or is it getting colder? 'Cos I'm freezing! Anyways - was nice and cosy Saturday afternoon at my local village hall where we had our Harvest Sale & Exhibition. Here's a couple of pics of my stall Unfortunatly we weren't rushed off our feet but I managed to sell a few cards and two of my paintings. I haven't sold any artwork for ages so that was a nice surprise. Also this weekend I went to a Stampin' Up catalogue launch party so what I made on my stall I spent there! Some gorgeous new stuff is now heading my way - see you soon - Jacqueline xx.

Phew - what a scorcher!!!

Hi crafters - my goodness hasn't it been hot! I did a local craft fair at the weekend and I just melted. It should have lasted 'til 6.00pm on the Sunday afternoon but I had already done the whole of Saturday and by 3.00 on the Sunday I had had enough. So I packed up and ended up at my local pub and I sank a double G & T while my husband watched the footy. (hee hee bet he wishes we had stayed at the fair now!!) This was my pitch - looks very cool and shady in this pic but believe me as the sun got higher the shade got less and less! Sadly though - didn't sell much especially on the Sunday afternoon - that was another reason to retire early. I think most folks stayed in to watch the footy. Good job it wasn't next weekend though - I would have missed all the tennis. So until the next time - happy crafting - Jacqueline xx.
