Key Chain Mini Albums.

Image
Take a look at these photos and see if you can guess what I have recycled to make my mini album Well it's actually a chewing gum box! After the contents were consumed I carefully took it apart and re-covered it with some decorative papers (this is a great way of using up scraps). I then die cut some tag shapes and covered them using matching paper and adding a few flat embellishment too. This is a great little project to do and one I shared with some ladies who came along one day last week to a workshop. Here is the one I made in the demonstration It was so lovely yesterday when one of the ladies who had made this showed me the one she had finished making already decorated with pictures of her beautiful Granddaughter - don't you just love it when a plan comes together! - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Spring Pansies

Image
Hello everyone - today is Mid-week Motivation day at  Make My Monday  and if you head on over there you will find a step by step tutorial on how I made my flowers for today's card. Firstly here is a close up of my flower - it's a pansy It's made using the Stampin' Up Butterfly punch. I also used Perfect Plum and So Saffron card stock along with Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant ink. The veins were added with a Concord Crush Stampin' Write marker. I made three of these fabulous flowers and added them to a card - take a look The tags are made with Crumb Cake card stock and the Large Tag punch and just elongated a little. The base is Whisper White and the sentiment is from My Friend. I found a few scraps of ribbon to tie in my tags. I hope you like this folks as it's going in to this week's  Simply Stampin'  challenge which is 'Totally Tags'. Also  St. Luke's Charity Cards Challenge  - Spring into Spring and  The Kraft Journal  - An...

MMM - Challenge 3 - Tags

Image
Good morning - hope everyone had a fab weekend. This week over on the Make My Monday  challenge blog the challenge is to make some TAGS . These can be tags on their own or attached to cards etc. I chose to attach mine to a card This card uses some of my own stamps (available on-line here) I have used Promarkers to colour the main flower on the tag and then stamped beneath the tag with Stampin' Up ink Old Olive are my Leaf Branch and Flower Branch (yikes - hope I got the names right!!) stamps. The sentiment is again Stampin' Up from the Just Believe Set and is stamped in Ruby Red ink. Please hop over and take a look - the Deezine Team have made some stunning projects to inspire you all. Thank you for stopping by today to take a look - see you again soon - Jacqueline xx.

All Things Tim.

Image
That being Tim Holtz of course - but you knew that didn't you? And of course you all know of the fab new challenge blog now into it's third challenge over on Simon Says Stamp and Show . So this week it was All Things Tim Holtz Inspired and I am very late in submitting my entry on account of all inspiration leaving my head and going on holiday! Any how this is what I have managed to come up with. It's a tag inked with Brushed Corduroy DI's and then spritzed with gold mica powder. A piece of torn ledger paper has also been added. On top of that is a pair of golden wings and a heart cut out of grungepaper and a grungepaper rose coloured with Tattered Rose DI. There is some Rock Candy Distress Stickles on the rose too and a couple of florishes also coloured with DI - Peeled Paint. (Would have added a Memo Pin and a sentiment but haven't got round to ordering them yet!) Thanks for taking the time to look - have a good Bank Holiday Weekend - Jacqueline xx.

Tag Tuesday - It's All In The Post.

Image
Lovely Louise over over on Tag Tuesday  this week gave us the theme of 'Postage'. So I had a rummage through all my crafting stash and found some postage stamps that I had bought many years ago hoping to make some 'Man' cards. I am also at the present time working with some K&Company papers which also display a postage theme. It was just putting them all together in a cohesive way that I had problems with! Anyway this is what I managed to come up with - I hope it works. I've been looking at every one elses work and it is superb, I just hope you like mine. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx.

Tag Tuesday.

Image
You know I have been feeling a little down lately, don't know why, just one of those things I suppose. Anyway thought I would cheer myself up by making a tag for this week's Tag Tuesday. The theme is 'Men' which I think is to tie in with Father's Day on Sunday. My Mum had given me a big box of photographs of my Grandad - her father - I'm supposed to be making a scrapbook of them, so I thought I would use one for my tag. They are mostly pictures of when he was over seas during the war but I managed to find one of when I remember him most - in the garden with his pigeons. I have teamed the image up with some K & Company Blue Awning ephemera and my bird punch. Take a look - I hope you like it - Jacqueline xx.

A Few Of My Favourite Things.

Image
This is a tag I have made for Tag Tuesday and the theme was to use all your favourite things. Now there would not be room on one tag for all my favourite things so these are just a few. Here goes: 1) Co-ordinating colours. 2) My Stampin' Up stamp sets ( this one is Flight of the Butterfly). 3) Butterflies. 4) Inking around the edges. and finally but not least 5) TAGS! Here is my tag - I hope you like it.

Tag Tuesday.

The theme of this tag for Tag Tuesday  is 'Music' and straight away I knew what I could do for this. I live at the foot of the Malvern Hills, Malvern is Elgar country - you know 'Land Of Hope & Glory', 'The Enigma Variations'. Well there is a cottage - we can see it from ours - where Edward Elgar lived on and off and where he wrote a lot of his music. The music I have used on my tag comes from 'The Dream Of Gerontius' which he wrote at Birchwood Lodge and there is a picture of him on his bike which he used to ride around the lanes by us. (It is even fabled that the great man's father even came to our house to tune the old piano now sitting in our dinning room). Now how is that for a history lesson on a Wednesday  morning - hope I haven't bored you all too much! See you soon - Jacqueline xx.
