The sun is shining, the sky is blue and it actually feels quite warm outside today! It feels like summer could be here and what could be more summery than a dragonfly gently buzzing around the garden? Here is my card for you today The grass stamp is from Stampin' Up's World of Dreams set and the dragonfly is a recent freebie from a magazine. I've added some dazzling diamond glitter to his wings to give him some extra sparkle. I die cut my label using Apothecary Accents and added some twine around it before attaching it to a simple doily. The background was embossed with my mosaic embossing folder - after it had been stamped. I will be entering this card into the challenge over on The Paper Players I went for 'Pink, Die-cut and Twine. Hi all - today's card is made using some die cuts and punches - come and take a look I started with a base card of Crumb Cake card stock on to which I added a pink layer with a die cut shape (Apothecary Accents) - cut out from it to leave the negative shape. Into this I then laid the actual shape cut from some green card stock. Out of this layer I die cut another shape and added the shape back again with Crumb Cake. Sounds very complicated but all it means is that although I have used die cut shapes, they all fit together like a jigsaw to leave a flat surface. Some simple stamping was added along with some glittery punched butterflies. Yikes - time is going so quick this week and yet again I am running out of time to enter the challenge over on  CAS - Colours & Sketches . This week they have a sketch for us I've flipped and rotated the sketch and gone with a very Clean and Simple design - take a look My image is from Serene Silhouettes and is stamped on to a label cut on my Big Shot using the Apothecary Accents dies. The butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri and both images have been heat embossed in gold. Thanks for looking - see you soon xx

I bought a craft magazine recently and it had some free stamps with it - who doesn't like free stamps eh? They were all bird themed and in amongst them were these lovely swans. I fell in love with them instantly and had to use them straight away on an Anniversary card for my cousin and her husband - here's my card The base card is some textured Coastal Cabana card stock and my scene is sponged on to a piece of die cut card. The dies are from the Apothecary Accents set along with the two one I used to place each side of the scene. The swans were stamped and cut out before attaching to the card with 3D foam pads. It's my turn to pick the theme over at  Make My Monday  and I have chosen - DIE CUTS & OR PUNCHES. it can be just one of the two or both - it's up to you. I used both on my card - take a look I CASE'd the idea for my image from a card on Pinterest by  Darlene Designs  and I think it turned out very well - the images are from Stippled Blossoms and the two stamped layers are blended with an aqua painter. My main panel uses die cuts while the accents either side are a punched shape that has been folded in half and and attached to the DSP layer. It's time for a new challenge over at  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  and this week it's a colour challenge You are allowed to use BLACK and WHITE (or off-white) in addition to the red and gold. No green! :) Please have fun with this one! For my metallic gold I chose to go with gold embossing powder and went very minimalist making my sentiment the main focal point - take a look I found some gorgeous ribbon my my stash drawer which was a perfect match for the Cherry Cobbler card stock I'd used so I used it to wrap around my card and add a large bow.
