It's  Make My Monday  time and we are continuing our monthly vintage theme with a Vintage Childhood challenge - here is my card I have used a Shabby Chic image from a Debbi Moore CDRom and coloured it with Promarkers. Other elements added are a doily, some seam binding ribbon, paper punched flowers and Liquid Pearls. I also inked all my edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Addicted to Stamps  has a 'Make your Mark' challenge this week - just make a card and colour it using markers - simples. Here's my card The colours have come out terrible on this - I have photographed a few times and this I'm afraid is the best I can come up with - sorry My digi is one of my own (see the left hand side bar if you want one yourself) and I have coloured it using my Promarkers - Pine and Warm Grey 1. My card stock is from my stash and I have used some seam binding ribbon, ruffled at the side to add a bit of texture. Again my favourite embellishment has made an appearance - Liquid Pearls and a few punched flowers - can you tell that they are green?! We took a month off in August but we are back with a great new theme for this month - Vintage. Val has chosen and she kicks off September with - Vintage Fashion. This was a tough one for me as I'm not really a vintage fan however I scoured my craftroom and finally found a CD-ROM which was free on a magazine and I got to work - here's how it turned out This is from the Debbi Moore Shabby Chic CD and is taken from one of the design sheets. I don't have a colour printer at the moment so I printed it in black and white and coloured it with Promarkers. I inked and sponged with Brushed Corduroy DI's and added some pearls along with some seam binding ribbon. We had Primary colours last week so it's only natural that we move on to the Secondary Colours this week. It's Mid-week Motivation time over on the  Make My Monday  challenge blog and in honour of our sponsor (details on the blog) I have used one of her digis to colour using the Red, Yellow and Blue of this week's colour Wheel challenge - take a look The main image was coloured using Promarkers - it's ages since I used them and I think I could do with some more practise! My sky background was sponged using post it note cloud masks and I used card stock from my stash. The theme for this week's challenge at  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  is SNOWMEN   Here is my card My card started out as a 5" x 5" card blank onto which I added a layer of navy card stock. I then ripped some pieces of copier paper to make my snowy landscape. The edges of the paper were coloured with a pale blue Promarker and glittered with some sparkly fibres. My snowmen were die cut for me a while ago by my good friend Beverley and have been waiting for just this moment to appear (actually found them a few days ago at the bottom of a drawer - sorry Bev!!) The snowmen too have been coloured with Promarkers and then stuck down using a glue pen and my sentiment is from a Polka Doodles set. We have a brand new month of challenges at  Make My Monday  - Suzi B has chosen a Floral theme with the first challenge being LILY OF THE VALLEY OR WHITE FLOWERS Here is my card This image is a Woodware stamp borrowed from a friend a while ago - it's an anemone. I left it white with a few bits of shading with a grey Promarker and it's also been layered and raised up with some 3D foam pads. The little flowers around the side are from my Fabulous Florets set. This is going to be a great month of challenges - please pop over to see what the rest of my team have made to inspire you. It's an interesting colour challenge this week at  Less is More   - they would like to see YELLOW in our clean and simple projects. Here is my card My 5" x 5" card blank has had a mat of white card stock added which has first been put through my 'Bug in the Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then die cut a fancy square onto which I stamped the fern leaf from Growing Green. The rose was stamped onto a scrap of white card stock, coloured with Promarkers and then cut out and attached with 3D foam pads. I said that this was an interesting colour choice for a challenge because I don't use yellow all that much but more interestingly I had been thinking about yellow roses. I am visiting my mum and dad at the weekend and we will probably take some flowers to my Gran's grave - yellow roses - this seemed the obvious card to make. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

Good morning all - it's Monday and a brand new theme launch at  Make My Monday . Caz - my lovely team mate has chosen a theme of MEN AND BOYS with the first challenge to be WHEELS . We are also sponsored again this month by the fabulous Marianne Designs - all the details are on the blog. For my card I chose a CAS style - I stamped the truck from Strampin' Up Loads of Love and coloured it with Promarkers. I then cut it out, mounted it onto a die cut label and attached it to my card over a background of trees My design team have made some super samples for you to view so please do hop over to take a look - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

This week at  Less is More  Chrissie and Mandi would like to see some MASKING. Now post-it-notes are never far from my side and are perfect for this technique. I dug out a stamp that I have had for years - it's an Easter egg so it only has a limited time span for use and got stamping. The eggs have been coloured with Promarkers - the purple one was stamped first and then covered with a post-it-note, I then stamped the yellow one followed by the blue one at the back. I was tempted to stamp more  but this 'Less is More' so I stopped at three. Less is More is not an option though when it comes to Easter eggs - don't you agree girls?! - Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

It's time for  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  again and this week we have a *THEME* - take a look   My first card features a Polar Bear - star gazing It's an easel card attached to a drawer - great for combining cards and gifts in one and this one would hold a lot of Christmas choccies I think!! Here's a close up It's a Pollycraft digi image and the backing papers are from Pollycraft too - some I purchased a couple of years ago. My image has been coloured using Promarkers. My second card is equally as cute Three reindeer, one with a red nose - I wonder who he could be?! These were made using my 2 Step Owl Punch - a couple of alterations here and there and some googly eyes. Morning folks - a quick scheduled post for you today as I'm away. It's color challenge time at  52 CCT  - here's what  Mynnette  and I have for you this week And here are my cards My stamps are from Papermania and are embossed in gold. I coloured my images in with Promarkers and I really don't know why they look as if the are photographed in the fog! Really they are much more vibrant in real life. I also added a lot of gold glitter for sparkle. This one has been made in the same way except that the flower was raised up on 3D foam pads and clear embossing liquid added - here is a close up Thanks for looking - hope you get a chance to pop over to the blog or to see  Mynnette  my partener in crime!! - Jacqueline xx

It's a new month at  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  and it's my turn to choose the challenges. This week I have a sketch for you For my first card I have followed the sketch precisely - matting and layering some embossed card stock with a simple Christmas image stamped and coloured with Promarkers The stamp is from the Papermania Baubles set and the white card stock has been through my Cuttlebug in embossing folders. My second card is a bit more involved, I have rotated the sketch and done more stamping and inking - take a look My image is from Hero Arts and I sponged a background as well as adding some stamping to the card stock at the side. Thin strips of card stock were punched with a scallop edge and I added gems to the corners. Can't wait to see what everyone else does with my sketch - perhaps I will see you over there. This week at  Make My Monday  the challenge is to use ANIMALS in your projects. Here is my card Although it's quite unusual for me to do cute cards I really enjoyed making this. It's a centre step card and because the overriding theme is Nature I used some Docrafts Woodland Folk stamps to create my scene. The stamped images have been coloured using Stampin' Write markers and Promarkers, the tree and owl have been punched using scraps of card stock from my stash. We had some lovely bird entries last week so I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with this week - hope to see you over there. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

Make My Monday  takes flight this New Year with a Bird challenge. Fliss of the DT has chosen the overall theme of NATURE for January so there will be some fab challenges coming our way. Here is my card I have used a mish mash of stamp sets to create this card starting with one of my favourites - Nature Walk. These stamps were used to make the bottom left panel, the eggs on the blue mat and the bees. The top right panel uses my new Young Vermillion stamp (from the Stampin' Up A La Carte range) and the leaf from Lovely as a Tree, the sentiment is from Just Believe. All the images were coloured using Promarkers, Stampin' Write Markers and coloured pencils. I really hope you can hop over and join us this week - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Good morning, it's the last day of the year and  Mynnette  I are kicking off our *NEW* challenge blog the  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  with a fabulous ANYTHING GOES theme. (Well it's Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas!!!!) Just think how organised you could be next December if you made one Christmas card a week - how smug would you be with at least 50 uniquely hand made Christmas cards under your belt? This could be you if you join us now and - to whet your appetite here is my card to give you some inspiration I have used Stampin' Up stamp Young Vermillion and I've coloured him in using a mixture of Stampin' Write markers, Promarkers and coloured pencils. The white mats have been cut on my Cuttlebug using some Papermania Nesting Dies. I also die cut the poinsettia flowers using Marianne Creatables. Don't forget to pop over to take a look - it would be great to see you over there. I made a card recently for the Less is More challenge -  here  - and this is more or less the same card but on a larger scale. Would you like to see? This time the Pine Tree stamp was stamped in a circle - my post it notes came in very useful again as they masked off the centre. I used two greens - Handsome Hunter and Always Artichoke. The Christmas Roses are again from the Everything Eleanor set and are stamped in black Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers. Red flat backed gems add the finishing touches along with the sentiment in the middle. Well it's the first of December tomorrow and I get to open the no.1 door on my Advent Calendar - yes it's a chocolate one and I had to buy one for my Son too , just to stop him stealing mine! - See you soon - Jacqueline xx.

This week at  Less is More  Chrissie and Mandi want to see projects with bling on them. Well I'm always happy to oblige so here is my card This is made using using one of my newest SU sets - Everything Eleanor. The large flower reminded me very much of a Christmas Rose. It was stamped with a black Memento ink pad so that I could colour it with my Promarkers. I went over the shadows in gray and coloured the stamens yellow. They were cut out and added to the card after I had stamped the foliage. This was achieved using the Pine Tree stamp from Lovely as a Tree, Handsome Hunter and Always Artichoke inks. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and finally the bling was added using some tiny red flat backed gems - oh and I also glittered the centres of the flowers too.
