Pink Dragonfly

Image
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and it actually feels quite warm outside today! It feels like summer could be here and what could be more summery than a dragonfly gently buzzing around the garden? Here is my card for you today The grass stamp is from Stampin' Up's World of Dreams set and the dragonfly is a recent freebie from a magazine. I've added some dazzling diamond glitter to his wings to give him some extra sparkle. I die cut my label using Apothecary Accents and added some twine around it before attaching it to a simple doily. The background was embossed with my mosaic embossing folder - after it had been stamped. I will be entering this card into the challenge over on The Paper Players I went for 'Pink, Die-cut and Twine. That's it for today - I'm off to work now (sad face) - no time for crafting today. See you soon x

Die Cuts and Punches

Image
Hi all - today's card is made using some die cuts and punches - come and take a look I started with a base card of Crumb Cake card stock on to which I added a pink layer with a die cut shape (Apothecary Accents) - cut out from it to leave the negative shape. Into this I then laid the actual shape cut from some green card stock. Out of this layer I die cut another shape and added the shape back again with Crumb Cake. Sounds very complicated but all it means is that although I have used die cut shapes, they all fit together like a jigsaw to leave a flat surface. Some simple stamping was added along with some glittery punched butterflies. I will be entering this card in to the following challenges: Addicted to CAS Glitter 'N' Sparkle Challenges Use A Punch/Die Thanks for looking - see you soon xx

Late Again!

Image
I should have posted this last Thursday to coincide with the new challenge at  CAS - Colours & Sketches  but it's been a very hectic end to the week - beading class, monthly workshop, art exhibition and charity auction to name but a few of the things I have been up to - phew! Crafting has taken a back seat but I did manage to rustle this up using a few scraps I had lying around on my craft table The main panel had been made for another card but didn't quite work a the time, the borders were offcuts from card prepared for my monthly workshop - luckily I hadn't cleared up after doing this else they would have ended up in the bin! All that was added was the label and rhinestones and the bird which was stamped, coloured with pencils and cut out and attached with dimensionals. Here's the sketch I was following I've jiggled it around a bit and rotated it but it's mostly all there. OK - off now to catch up on a bit of card making - see you soo...

The stamp set is A World of Dreams and I've added a couple of strips of gold washi tape. Hope you like it - see you soon xx
