A Couple of Cards.

Image
As I mentioned in a previous post my internet was playing up all last week so the cards I made for challenges didn't get posted because I missed the deadlines!! Would you like to see them anyway? - Take a look This card has been made with a set called Painted Petals - it's retired now so I thought I'd give it one more airing before I put it up for sale on Ebay! I also used it for this card too This one is a bit more colourful! Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon x

Sparkly Butterflies

I have another card for you today using my Sketch from the current challenge over on Sassy Sketcharinos And here it is I have created this card using stamp sets Flower Patch and Painted Petals. I had a very old die from Stampin' Up - an embosslits die of various sized butterflies and I die cut them using silver glitter paper. There are teeny tiny gems in the middle of the small flowers and a large one on the main flower. Colours used are: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. I am also entering this card into the following challenges: Crafty Boots Challenges  - Bees and/or Butterflies Craft Your Passion Challenges  - Always Anything Goes Crafting From The Heart  - Challenge 113 Anything Goes Thanks for looking today - see you soon xx

Ship's Reflection

The card I am showing off today looks very CAS but was a little complicated to make and actually took me quite a long time! It's a ship at sea - take a look So - how was it made? I'll tell you: firstly I inked up my stamp (from the stamp set Traveler) and I then took my brayer and rolled it carefully over my stamp - transferring the image. I then rolled my brayer over my piece of card stock. This gives a very faint image but more importantly when the image is upside down and the stamp is inked up again and stamped directly over it - it becomes the perfect mirror image. The top half of the picture was masked off and the sea was sponged in. I then decided I wanted the sun behind my ship - that meant making a mask of the ship - did I tell you this was complicated???? Once the ship was masked off the sun from Kinda Eclectic was stamped and the sky sponged in. The sentiment is from Painted Petals. Thanks for popping by today - see you soon xx
