You Shall Have A Fishy

Image
On the card I have made for you today I have combined two stamp sets - High Tide and Jar of Love I created my background scene with the lighthouse and made a section of beach in the foreground by using a torn post it note and a sponge. The Crumb Cake ink was sponged over the post it note and then a mask was made to add the grass. I cut out a jar and added some water to it using the sea stamp and sponging Pool Party ink over it. The little fishy was stamped inside the jar and the handle was heat embossed with silver embossing powder. It was attached to the card using Dimensionals. Thanks for looking today - hope you like my seaside card. See you soon - J xx

Orchid in a Jar

Image
I love being on holiday but I'm really looking forward to getting back home and getting back in my craft room - I've missed getting all inky and crafty! Today I have another card for you that I made before I left. It was for my cousin's birthday which was  the day before yesterday - take a look I made this using my much loved Climbing Orchid set and combined it with Jar of Love. I die cut my flowers with my Big Shot and then water coloured them using So Saffron and Rose Red inks. They were die cut out of the watercolour paper which made the ink blend a bit better. I am entering this card into the challenge over at The Joy of Sets Thanks for dropping by today - I hope you like my card and come back soon to see what else I've been up to. See you soon - J xx

Double Dutch Jar of Love

Image
Yikes - I can't believe the time. It's twenty to midnight and I really should be asleep but here I am blogging! I'm having a fab time with my daughter. We hit The Range this morning where I spent loads of money on crafting goodies - I even found some flaming post it notes which I just had to buy! We then spent the day tidying up her new garden - it's the size of a pocket handkerchief but in need of some TLC but it's looking pretty good now. Today's card is a Double Dutch fold card using Jar of Love and I'm really pleased with how this turned out - take a look The great thing about this card is that it although it opens in an interesting way - it folds flat for posting. I'm off to bed now before I fall asleep on my keyboard! - see you soon - J xx

Jar of Love - without the jar!

Image
I've had a few internet problems this week so I've been unable to blog - also work, but today it's working  so here is my card The flowers for this card are taken from the set Jar of Love. I've stamped and cut them out along with some leaves. In the background I stamped some foliage and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Although I'm rather late with this I am entering it in this week's challenge over on  Mojo Monday So I'm working again today so no crafting for me although I hope to back tomorrow with another step by step tutorial for you - see you soon x

Jar of Love

Image
Just a quick post to show you a card I made for a challenge but was too late to add it in. It uses my new set Jar of Love and took next to no time to create - even though I cut the flowers by hand. I love cutting out!! That's it - short and sweet!!! See you soon xx

Clean and Simple Card

Image
A clean and simple note card for you today using this week's sketch on  Mojo Monday Here is my card I was sorting through a drawer of stash and came across an old pack of Stampin' Up Christmas tags kit. It doesn't necessarily look very Christmassy so I used it for my little note card. I also found some of my little flowers that I made years ago using some air drying clay and a silicone mould - they've lasted well haven't they? My tiny sentiment is from Jar of Love. I think I need to really sort out my old drawer of stash and see what other treasures I can find!! Thank you for stopping by today - enjoy the rest of the weekend xx

Pink for a Lady

Image
A clean and simple card for you today - take a look This is another of my favourite stamps (lets be honest though - they're all my favourites!!!!) Blended Bloom. It was stamped on to white card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Pink ink was sponged on to the flower making it a bit darker in the centre. I then fussy cut it out and added to my white panel with dimensionals. A bow and ribbon were added along with the sentiment (from Jar of Love) and then that was attached to some pink card stock on a white C6 card base. This card is being entered into the following challenges Glitter 'N' Sparkle Our Challenge Theme this week is: One for the Ladies/ Mothers Day (USA) So we need to see : Something for the lovely ladies in your life.... Addicted to CAS CAS Colours & Sketches Happy Monday everyone - have a great week - see you soon x

Yellow Flowers with Jar of Love

Image
Today has been a good day - one with plenty of crafting!!! Today I have used a relatively new stamp set - Jar of Love. It's chock full of flowers, fish foliage and mason jars - it's beautiful! Here is my card There are dies available to help you cut the shapes out easily but I prefer to cut by hand - it just takes a little longer! Unfortunately when I was stamping the 'Love' sentiment I smudged it a bit. Enter a few sparkly gems and you wouldn't know would you?!! I am entering this card into the following challenges CAS(E) this Sketch Color Throwdown Colours used are Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Daffodil Delight. Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon x
