Japanese Farewell

Image
This card is a bit of a mish mash of images: Colourful Seasons, Artistically Asian and Waterfront. (Sorry can't remember where the sentiments came from!!) This was the card I made for a colleague at work who was leaving. She had a new job teaching in Japan - hence the oriental themed card. It turned out really well if I do say so myself and show off the perfect versatility of Stampin' Up products. Sophie loved her card - we all signed it for her and I believe she took it with her. I think it's really cool to know that one of my cards is all away across the world in Japan! That's all for today - thanks for taking a look - see you soon - j xx

Continuing the Theme

I was browsing through my browser - as you do, and I came across this card that I made a while ago but I don't think I posted on my blog. It's uncanny as it's predominantly red as was my last card for the  Rainbow Card Challenge . Here it is I don't think that this would have worked for the challenge as I think that there is too much black on it however, it was very easy to create. The scene was sponged onto a piece of white card stock using some scraps of copy paper torn into strips. The scene gets paler as it fades into the distance to give an illusion of perspective. The silhouette details were added in black along with the Chinese writing. The panel was then cut into three equal pieces, sponged around the edges and glued to some red card stock. Ribbon was added before adhering to the card base. Thanks for stopping by today - hope everyone has recovered from the New Year celebrations!! See you soon - J xx

Artistically Asian CAS

Good morning everyone - it's nearly the weekend - are you excited???? I am - I'm working today and tomorrow and then I have a whole week off - yay!!!! I'm spending the week with my daughter in Hereford and I can't wait. It's going to mean no crafting though and I've been working hard trying to get some posts scheduled so I can still blog while I'm away. I'm mostly looking forward to the rest - I'm going through a Fibro flare up at the moment and even just typing this is hurting my fingers. Anyway - lets get on with today's post - here is my card I've used the gorgeously foiled Bundle of Love DSP again - I just love it - and teamed it up with Real Red and the Artistically Asian stamp set. I also made this as a top fold card - take a look I am entering this card into the challenge over at  CAS - Colours & Sketches Thanks for looking - see you soon - J xx

Artistically Asian in Orange

This is still a fairly new stamp set for me. It was carried over from last year's Stampin' Up catalogue to be included this year's - it's Artistically Asian. Today's card is made using this set and the colours from this week's challenge over at Color Throwdown Here is my card My colours of choice for this card are Tangerine Tango, Garden Green and Early Espresso. Card stock is Very Vanilla and Early Espresso. I love adding depth to my stamping by stamping my image again before re inking. It's worked particularly well with this beautiful flower image. It's a very exciting time for me at the moment, yesterday I joined up with Stampin' Up to be an Independent Demonstrator again. Watch out for there may be changes afoot! I won't be receiving my starter kit for a few days and then I have to wait a further few days till I'm able to take orders but after that there will be no stopping me!! Thanks for stopping by today ...
