Glittered Butterflies

It's time for another Sunday sketch over on SASSY SKETCHARINOS Here is this weeks sketch And here is my card I stamped my card with the large Pleasant Poppies stamp, marked off where the squares were on the sketch and then coloured within the squares. Tiny butterflies were added along with some pearls and a sentiment. Hope you like my card and I hope you can find time to join in this week - see you soon xx

Freshly Made Sketches

It's a lovely spring day here in Bridgnorth and what makes it even better is that I have been crafting! It seems the new meds are taking effect and I'm starting to feel human again! The card I have for you today is for the challenge over on  Freshly Made Sketches Here is the sketch And here is my card I've used a scrap of Raspberry Ripple DSP to create my border on a background stamped with Pleasant Poppies. CAS - Colour Challenge

I'm here again with my weekly dash to enter my card into the  CAS - Colours & Sketches  challenge. One day I shall surprise every one and do it the day it goes live!!! The challenge this week is colours and here is my card I stamped my flourish in Soft Suede directly on to my card base. I then die cut a label on my Big Shot and embossed it with a rose embossing folder (free in a magazine ages ago) - this was done with So Saffron card stock. My butterflies were punched using Rose Red card stock and were finished off with a few gems. The sentiment was stamped in Rose Red ink. Last night was my monthly workshop and we made this 'Kick Stand' card Four lovely ladies came along and hopefully had loads of fun cutting on the Big Shot and punching out butterflies. Make and Take

Before I launch into my post can I just say - look at my fab new blog design!!! I had it specially designed for me by fellow SU demonstrator and Pinkie Catherine Carroll. She is going to add a link here to her site soon so do watch out for that. Now this time last week I was preparing for my catalogue launch Open House Event. I love to spoil my customers so the first thing I did with them when they arrived was sit them down to a free Make and Take - here it is I don't know if you can quite see in the photo but the black CS has been embossed in the Mosaic embossing folder making it super easy to add the mosaic punched tiles. How do you like the pop of yellow - it's a new colour called Crushed Curry - I love it! I've also used another new colour - Smoky Slate - also gorgeous! My lovely ladies also had a lucky dip on the day and a choice of retiring sets to purchase too plus a free gift for all orders over £25 on the day - I think they all went home happy! Materials -...

A Sad Farewell

One of my favourite stamps is retiring at the end of this month, I'm not too sad though as I have had a sneak peak at the brand new catalogue and there is a lot of new and exciting products to take it's place. You my remember I used this set recently for my workshops - I also made an easel card in this style as easel cards are the subject of this month's workshops - take a look I didn't stop there either as I made this little gift box to complete the collection Thanks for looking today - I will be saying fond farewells to a few more sets later in the week so do pop back. The Best Laid Plans

I have had a bit of a trying week - again! My poor dad was rushed into hospital last week having suffered a stroke so of course I dropped everything to go and be with mum - luckily it wasn't a bad stroke and dad is now back at home. Apparently it's related to his lymphoma cancer so we will have to wait now to see what treatment he will need. The thing is though that there are soooooooo many exciting things happening at Stampin' Up that I am bursting to tell you about!!!! Don't be surprised if I post many times over the next few days! Today was my monthly Tuesday morning workshop - a bit later in the month than usual but not one to be missed as I used the gorgeous Bordering on Romance as my inspiration. Today we made a Pop-up Accordion card - take a look As a special favour to the ladies in my craft group I write up a tutorial of our makes, that way they can recreate their card again at home. It colour time at  CAS - Colours & Sketches  and do we have some lovely ones for you this week - come and take a look Don't forget that you don't have to use Stampin' Up colours - just use the shades you have closest in your stash. Hello all, oh the joys and woes of a new lap top! The joys are a lovely clean and fast running computer but the woes are not having all your other stuff at your finger tips and it's such a faff to reload all my programs! I know I am being a grouch but I was rudely awakened by the phone at 7 this morning! Make My Monday Colour Challenge

The lovely Caz  has designed this week's fabulous challenge over on the  Make M y Monday  challenge blog and it is a colour challenge -Use the Colours - BLUE & BROWN. Here is my card I've kept things quite clean and simple with this card - mainly just matting and layering and then the addition of 2 stamped butterflies. The butterflies are available in the Papillon Potpourri set and to make things really easy both have co-ordinating punches.
