Golly I’ve had a lot going on lately but I have managed to make a little card to enter into a couple of challenges.  First let me show you the card  So today as you can see I have a cute little elephant with a bunch of balloons. He is from the Zoo Globe stamp set and I coloured him with my markers. So this card is inspired by the sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge And the challenge this week over at The Paper Players Hope you like my card today - see you soon xx

On your marks

So - I have a drawer and it’s full of scraps of decorative paper, card stock off cuts and unfinished projects. I was mooching through said drawer and found - right at the bottom - some stamped images and I thought hmmmmm - I could use these to make a card. And hey presto - here is is  We’re getting plenty of April showers at the moment so this card is very appropriate! The images I found were not coloured so I coloured them with my alcohol markers. I fussy cut the flowers and added them with 3D foam pads - a few sparkles added the finishing touch, I would like to enter this card into the challenge over at  Addicted to Stamps and More Thanks for taking the time to read my post today - see you soon xx

Anyone for Coffee?

Over in The Male Room they want cards with embossing on. Now I could have used an embossing folder but my Big Shot is deep in a cupboard and it would prove too much of a faff to drag it out! Instead I took a piece of card stock and with my score board I embossed lines to create a grid. I used this as my background for the card adding my coffee cups and coffee beans. The images are from the Stampin’ Up online exclusives - Latte Love. The Male Room Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon xx

Happy New Year

Image
Hello and Happy New Year to you all.  Today I have a clean and simple card for you using the new stamp set Happy Hedgehogs. I’ve used one of the smaller images of a mushroom. It’s this little stamp that drew me to this set as it reminds me of my dad - he was a micologist. I used my Stampin’ Write markers to colour it and the sentiment comes from Happy & Heartfelt - another new set. Take a look at my card and please tell me what you think in the comments below. See you soon - J xx

More Corner Bouquet

I wasn't sure of this set at first but now I've had a chance to play with it I am finding that it's not so bad after all! This time when I used it I used my Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp - come and have a look I used the Flower and Field DSP again and the sentiment is from Garden Wishes - one of the new sets in the Mini catalogue. The main colour used is Cherry Cobbler with a little Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry thrown in for good measure! If you pop on to my Phoenix Inspirations Facebook page you will find a video on how I made this card using my Stamparatus - it makes stamping large images so easy. See you soon - J xx

Blended Poppies

Image
From time to time I have a sort out on my computer, I delete random pictures that I have uploaded and I create nice neat new files for the ones I like to keep. I also file all my card pics in files according to stamp sets. Well one such tidying up session occurred a couple of days ago and I found a picture of a card I had made a loooooong time ago when I had first bought some of the new Blendabilities markers. I bought a set of the Cherry Cobbler and a set of the Old Olive. I stamped out the Pleasant Poppies on to Very Vanilla card stock and set to work colouring Now there are lots of ways to colour - check out all the tutorials on YouTube but as a painter I have always gone in first with the lightest shade and then added details with the darker shades. Not bad for a first attempt! Well after all that playing I just had to make a card and this is the result I do believe that this was a sketch from a Mojo Monday challenge many weeks ago and in the end I think ...
