Another Bookmark Card

The monthly Facebook swap this month was a card with a detachable bookmark, it had to incorporate embellishments made with paint sample cards and no other embellishments. Here's my swap It's very similar to yesterday's card card but uses the Blended Bloom stamp. Here's the lovely card I received from my swap partner Tracy Phew - a whole week of posts - lets hope the Internet behaves it's self again next week and I can show you some more of what I have been making. I feel a week of 'man' cards may be on the agenda - in time for Father's Day - see you soon, have a great weekend xx

Corner Bookmark Card

I love making feature cards - clean and simple is great but layers, fancy folds, ribbon and bling are also great fun too! Here s one such card I have made Not only is this a Bookmark card - it has a removable corner bookmark attached to the front - but it is a tent fold card too Hope you like my effort for today - see you soon xx

Another Bookmark Card

Today was my first workshop of 2012 and it went really well. We made Bookmark Cards like the one I made  here  last week. I have made another one today to go with the tutorial I have written which can be found on my  Craft Club Blog  or by clicking the picture in the side bar. Here is the card I have used my Papermania Urban stamps again - I really love the seed heads at the bottom of the card. The section on the right has been perforated so that when the card is no longer relevant as a card the section can be easily removed to be used as a bookmark. The background was created using my favourite tool - the brayer and would you believe used 5 colours of ink!! I'm really pleased with the result though and it feels like it has a nice warm glow to it as I sit and freeze in my craft room! Thanks for looking today - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

First Workshop of 2012

Next Tuesday (10th) is the start of my workshops for 2012 and we will be kicking off with a Perforated Bookmark Card. Intrigued?..... take a look The panel on the right hand side of the card is perforated and can be removed to use as a bookmark. A nice easy project I think to start the New Year! It uses a combination of stamp sets - Simply Soft, Precious Butterflies and Butterfly Prints all on top of a brayered background. As always a step by step tutorial will be available after the workshop and details will appear in my side bar should you wish to have a go at making this yourself. I have a little friend hiding behind my laptop as I type this post - would you like to see him? He's sulking because I have taken the Christmas decorations down and he can no longer play Tarzan on the tinsel!! See you soon - Jacqueline xx
