I do a Mid-week Motivation card each week for my  Make My Monday  challenge blog and usually when it comes to masculine themed cards I hide my head in the sand and let it pass me by. This week however I had an idea to use my new Stampin' Up set Up, Up & Away. It's full of gorgeous balloons, birds and clouds and is perfect for a male card and the Father's Day/Masculine theme - take a look I used Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler for my colours and more details on how I made this card can be found over on the blog - see you there - Jacqueline xx

This week at  Make My Monday  the challenge is to create a Father's Day card - this one is for my dad take a look I masked off the sides of the card and sponged the centre with More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler S'U inks - I then stamped some of the images from the French Foliage set and removed the masks. I inked the sides of the card and added more stamped images. The border is card stock edged with the scallop punch and I have then cut out some stamped leaves and popped them up with 3D foam pads. My sentiment is from a papermania set and is also attached with foam pads. There are some gorgeous cards this week from my design team so I do hope you can pop over and take a look. We are contemplating a trip to the coast at the moment - unfortunately not for pleasure. My daughter discovered over the weekend that her new student residence was flooded out in Aberystwyth - luckily she was home safe but I feel a clean up operation is on the cards! Even though you run round for them like a taxi, give them money like a bank, cook them tea at 11.00 at night and generally be at their beck and call. This is for you dearest, made all bleary eyed at 7.00 this morning 'cos I KNOW what a truly great dad you are xx.

You know I have been feeling a little down lately, don't know why, just one of those things I suppose. Anyway thought I would cheer myself up by making a tag for this week's Tag Tuesday. The theme is 'Men' which I think is to tie in with Father's Day on Sunday. My Mum had given me a big box of photographs of my Grandad - her father - I'm supposed to be making a scrapbook of them, so I thought I would use one for my tag. They are mostly pictures of when he was over seas during the war but I managed to find one of when I remember him most - in the garden with his pigeons. I have teamed the image up with some K & Company Blue Awning ephemera and my bird punch. Take a look - I hope you like it - Jacqueline xx.

This s a card I made a few days ago, things just got very busy and I forgot to post it up on my blog. It is a card for my Dad for Fathers Day. We had some very good news this week - my poor old Dad has been enduring some pretty aggressive chemo treatments recently but has now been told that it has worked, and he will only have to have regular check ups from now on. We are all over the moon about that. So this is for my Dad and also for the Truly Scrumptious  challenge. Dad is not a gingham type of chap so I left that bit off! Hope you like it - Jacqueline xx.
