Addicted to Stamps at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Image
The new challenge this week over on  Addicted to Stamps and More  is actually - Addicted to Stamps! I decided to take this literally and actually added stamps to card - take a look Here is a close up of the 'stamps' I used a small metal die to create my stamps and matted and layered black card stock and my stamped images. The background paper was some So Saffron DSP, it was over stamped in So Saffron and Crumb Cake ink and the edges sponged too. Flat backed gems coloured with a permanent marker were also added. Stampin' Up Materials Stamps: Fresh Vintage (retired) Inks: So Saffron, Crumb Cake Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black Paper: Subtles DSP Other Non Stampin' Up: Metal Die, Flat Backed Gems (All current Stampin' Up items can be ordered through me and delivered direct to door, or you could join one of my Stampers 6 Clubs. For all the relevant details please see the top tabs - thank you). Please do stop by the challenge blog and see ...

Sketch Week at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Image
We have an absolute cracker of a sketch this week for you this week - take a look As soon as I saw this sketch I knew exactly what I wanted to do - and for once it worked!! Here is my card This is where Double Sided Paper comes into it's own - I cut a few diagonal lines on my paper and folded it back. 1 - it reveals the gorgeous underside of the paper and 2 - leaves an area perfect for framing an image. The image in this instance is this year's retired Sale-a-bration set Fresh Vintage. The stamp has been coloured with Stampin' Write markers, really quick and really easy. Markers are perfect for adding coloured detail to your stamps and come in all the current Stampin' Up colours. All you have to do now is head on over to  Addicted to Stamps and More , take a look at all the other gorgeous dt cards and then have a go yourself - I can't wait to see what you do - bye for now - Jacqueline xx Materials Stamps: Fresh Vintage Ink: Lucky Limeade...

Colour Wheel Mid-week Motivation

Image
For this week's Mid-week Motivation piece over on  Make My Monday  I have created a card using the colours ORANGE, GREEN AND PURPLE. I have used Fresh Vintage for the main image and cut out flowers and then the sentiment is from Field Flowers. All stamps have been inked with marker pens before stamping in Certain Celery, Wisteria Wonder, Peach Parfait and Concord Crush. Card stock is from my stash. Here are a couple of close ups All challenge details can be found  HERE  if you would like to have a go and I will see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Mojo Monday Sketch

Image
I thought it was time I played along at  Mojo Monday  again - they have a really lovely sketch for us this week - take a look For this card I used my Fresh Vintage set Most of the card stock on this is scraps from my stash drawer along with a piece of Concord Crush which I scored horizontally to echo the sketch. I stamped the main image with marker pens, the flower at the side is another stamp from the set stamped three times, cut out and made into a 3D rose. I also added a few of the tiny flowers as well. These were embossed in the middle with a large ball embossing tool - it gives them a lovely shape My ribbon is an ivory seam binding and I added a double bow and a pearl stick pin Thanks for stopping by for a visit - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Make My Monday - dt card

Image
I am very late with my card this week - sorry it's been an exhausting few days preceded by some family worries, hopefully you have all been caught up in the Jubilee celebrations to notice!! The new theme for June has been picked by myself and is entitled 'June and it's Associated Events' This week at the start of June we are celebrating the 1st year anniversary if the challenge blog and the fact that Pearls are the birthstone for June, therefore our first challenge is to come up with a 'Birthday Card featuring Pearls. (It's also my birthday on Sunday so this is a very appropriate challenge!). Here is my card I have used some Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White card and with the matching inks. My stamp set (a gift from a lovely friend) is the very lovely Fresh Vintage and although I don't have markers in the Rich Razzleberry or Old Olive I used cotton buds to add the inks to the stamp. My ribbon also matches perfectly with my colour sche...

Just Playin'

Image
A couple of days ago my lovely friend Bev came round to play bringing with her the now coveted Fresh Vintage set - sadly it's no longer available and I will long lament the fact that I failed to obtain it when it was available! Anyway I played with the stamps and have made a couple of cards - no sentiment on them as sometimes I need a sort of 'Just Because' kind of a card - take a look I used some of my Everyday Enchantment DSP with this card and used it to mount my squares. The flower image was inked with individual markers before stamping and it was cut out and attached using 3D foam pads. The border images were off cuts from a card I made previously - I just couldn't bring myself to throw them out and the tiny flowers were also cut out by hand. I then added loads of bling. This card was made using a technique demonstrated by the beautiful Mynnette  HERE  and again uses the Fresh Vintage set - this time just the flower image stamped in Poppy Parade ink. ...

Retro Vintage

Image
There is a great sketch this week at  Retro Sketches  - take a look My friend Bev came round to play this morning bringing with her the Fresh Vintage stamp set and this what I made I teamed up Poppy Parade card stock and some of the Everyday Enchantment DSP and then stamped my image using Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Peach Parfait ink. Bev was also making a card this morning for the  Make My Monday  challenge. She always seems to have problems and claims as she is packing up to go home that it will probably go in the bin. A few hours later however her card will appear on her blog looking stunning - seems I have a very bad influence on her concentration!! Pop back later as I had a good stamping session with these stamps and have a couple more cards to share with you  - see you soon - Jacqueline xx
