Magnolia Lane Follow Up

Whew - it's been unbearably hot here today but I am sitting at my desk now with a newly purchased mini fan. So feeling much cooler now I can show you a couple of things made with the Magnolia Lane DSP.

First I made a card -


I do love this large image from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and it's perfect for colouring in with the Blends (Old Olive: dark and light, Crumb Cake light, Soft Suede dark and Daffodil Delight light).

This is a lovely simple card with a basic panel cut from the DSP, white card stock matted on top with the sentiment and the cut out image on top of that. Although there's layers it's very flat as no Dimensionals were used.

Next I made a gift bag -


So the same DSP was used so that the card and bag match and the closure was made with one of the dies from the Stitched Nested Labels. Another image from the Good Morning Magnolia set was used to decorate it and I found a little peg in my stash to anchor it.

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
