Challenge Reminder

This is a little reminder of the challenge over at the 



It would be fab to see you over there. All you have to do is create a card using the colour BLUE.

Here is a bit of inspiration for you


This is a card I created a while ago with some stamps made using my own designs. I love silhouettes and using the blue this card has a midnight in winter feel about it. Frosty seed heads and a full Midwinter moon!

The background is made by punching a circle from a post it note and placing on the card base. Dark blue ink is then brayered over the whole card leaving the middle around the moon paler than the outsides.
The edges of the card are sponged with the same ink but you could also use black to go darker still.
The seed heads were then added in blue and black ink. The teasels were stamped twice before re- inking to give a feel of perspective.
Finally the spindly seed heads were stamped and embossed with white embossing powder.

Beauty of the Deep

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
