You Can Stand Underneath My Umbrella ella ella

So - still no snow here -thank goodness! - I know lots of you have had some and I hope you are enjoying it!

I have been enjoying some time with my craft stash and I have created a card featuring some umbrellas. This card will be entered into two challenges:






Here is my card



I watercoloured a wash of gray paint to make the background and then added the umbrella handles. I stamped and coloured the umbrellas on scrap card and cut them out. These were attached using 3D foam pads. The clouds were also fussy cut and adhered using glue. The raindrops were heat embossed with silver embossing powder and lastly the sentiments were added.

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
