Christmas Tree Challenge at Christmas 24

It's time for another Christmas card challenge over at 


Me and my DT colleagues have been working hard to bring you a gorgeous selection of cards along the theme of

CHRISTMAS TREES

Here is my card 


I have used the tree from the Stampin' Up set Winter Woods and in that set there is an image with a group of tree trunks. I masked off all but one of the trunks and then stamped it under my tree. The sentiment was embossed in in gold and red gems were added to the branches of the tree. A hand drawn frame adds the fininshing touch.

It would be great if you could pop over and take a look at al the other DT cards - they really are beautiful.

Beauty of the Deep

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
