Ornament Keepsake Decoration

Image
I've had great fun today as I have been attempting to make the beautiful Christmas decoration from the front cover of the Holiday Mini (see side bar). I trawled YouTube for instructions - there are so many that I finally gave up and did my own thing! I don't have all the materials used either so I improvised - a lot! Take a look I used two ornament shapes plus the round centre piece along with Very Vanilla card stock, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler ink. Here's a close up I added a pearl to the centre - one of the large ones from the Basic Pearls pack, only £4.50 and you get loads! Materials Stamps: Ornament keepsakes Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock: Very Vanilla Accessories: Holiday Ornaments Framelit Dies, Basic Pearls. (Don't for get if you buy the Ornament Keepsake bundle plus the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP you get a Paper-Piercing pack - FREE - check up top or the side bar for more details). Crafting is curtailed ov...

Ornament Keepsake Poinsettia

Image
I've been having a play with my Ornament keepsake bundle and apart from the 'normal' Christmas ornament style projects I have made this poinsettia flower from some of the die cut shapes I stamped and die cut 8 of the red ornament shapes and then a further 5 of the green - the ornament tops have been hidden by adding the centre. This is the small round stamp from the set and I cut out the very middle part to create the flower centre. Here's a close up Materials Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Christmas Blessings (sentiment) Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker) Card Stock: Naturals White, Crumb Cake, Paper: Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP Accessories: Holiday Ornaments Framelits (If you would like to make a card like this there is a special offer this month with the Ornament Keepsake bundle - see the side bar for details). I will be entering this card in this week's  Freshly Made Sketches  challenge and ...

Faux Stitching

Image
It's  Make My Monday  time again and this week our Autumnal Supplies are to include STITCHING - REAL OR FAUX. Here is my card I have chosen faux stitching for my card today - this has been made very easy by the use of my new paper piercing template - I just placed it on my card stock and pierced through the holes with my pokey tool. I then connected the holes with the thin end of an Early Espresso marker. It makes the perfect frame for my autumnal scene which uses the recently retired Autumn Days stamp set. I make no apologies for using a retired set - I love Stampin' Up products but most of all I love crafting and these sets are far too nice to lie neglected on my shelves! Here's what I used: Stamps: Autumn Days (retired) Ink: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker), Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler (marker). Card Stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Naturals White Accessories: Dimensionals, Paper-Piercing Pack (the paper-pierc...

Quick & Easy Gift Ideas

Who doesn't love a prettily decorated notebook, especially if it has a matching pen too? Little notebooks are available in most shops - I picked these up at my local supermarket, all that was needed was a small piece of decorative paper to give them a festive feel - take a look I've used some of the Stampin' Up Festival Prints DSP  which can be found in the current Holiday Mini catalogue (there's a link in the side bar). With my notebooks I also purchased a pack of pens. With these I just unscrewed the barrels and inserted some matching paper rolled up very tightly. My favourite is the the red polka dots - I think that might just make it in to my handbag! Please do get in touch if you would like to order any of the lovely Stampin' up goodies from either of the catalogues featured in my side bar, my contact details are at the top of the page. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

It's so easy to create pretty baubles like these as there is no tedious cutting involved - of course you will need a die cutting machine. Here is a view of the front of the card This is an easel card and I used four each of the bauble shapes to make the ones on the card.
