Faux Stitching

It's Make My Monday time again and this week our Autumnal Supplies are to include STITCHING - REAL OR FAUX.
Here is my card

I have chosen faux stitching for my card today - this has been made very easy by the use of my new paper piercing template - I just placed it on my card stock and pierced through the holes with my pokey tool. I then connected the holes with the thin end of an Early Espresso marker. It makes the perfect frame for my autumnal scene which uses the recently retired Autumn Days stamp set. I make no apologies for using a retired set - I love Stampin' Up products but most of all I love crafting and these sets are far too nice to lie neglected on my shelves!

Here's what I used:
Stamps: Autumn Days (retired)
Ink: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker), Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler (marker).
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Naturals White
Accessories: Dimensionals, Paper-Piercing Pack
(the paper-piercing pack is FREE if you place an order for the Ornament Keepsake stamps and the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP - see the side bar for details)

There are some a-may-zing DT cards over on the blog so please do go and check them out PLUS - we have a prize this month which is definitely not to be missed - see you over there - Jacqueline xx

  1. This is absolutely stunning Jacqueline. The stitching template gives a fab look and the stamps are just gorgeous - can't imagine why they'd retire them!
Sounds like you been watching Strictly too!
Hope Clive is well on the mend now and sorry for the lack of visiting last week (busy, busy, busy!)

  3. I love that stamp set too and really regret it never made it off my wish list - now it's gone! Love your use of the pricking templates and the results actually look like stitching - something else to have a go at.
