New Challenge Blog and DT Call

I know I must be mad but this is something I have been thinking about for a while now - my new challenge blog - The Male Room. It does exactly what it says - it's a challenge for men only cards. Do check it out - I need a design team and all you have to do to qualify is make a male card/project - simples. Oh and if you could spread the word a bit for me that would be great please.
Speaking of male cards - here's the card I made for my husband today


This set is being carried over from the Spring/Summer mini into the new catalogue - isn't it lovely, can't wait to use it some more.

Materials - Stampin' Up
Stamps: The Open Sea, Delightful Dozen
Ink: Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy
Card Stock: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch

    Fab card Jacqueline, I love that set of stamps and dithered over it last year so if it's staying perhaps I should treat myself:)
    Great idea for a challenge blog, can't say I've seen a "male" one before. Mad? probably:))

Yikes - I'm a bit late posting today, but when I got into my studio this morning I had forgotten that it looked like this I had a big family lunch yesterday and 'cos our house is so small, I have to keep stuff moving from room to room in order for there to be enough space. So I got to work straight away and now my desk looks like this There is a hidiously green magnetic board complete with snail magnets that I won in a raffle - just right for altering, some wooden drawer knobs onto which I will attach some foam to use with my disress inks and my chipboard albums from last week that I didn't get round to doing. Also found when clearing from one room to another was my old jewelery display board which will soon be converted to a card display board and an old set of corner shelves. All they needed was a quick flick of a J-Cloth and a spray of Flash (oops advertising - other cleaning products are avaliable) and they now stand proudly in my craft room displaying my most recent cr

It's a One Layer challenge this week at  Less is More  with the added extra of things in 3's - here is my card And here's how I made it: Post it notes to mask off a square and to make my 3 clouds 3 blues to stamp my images: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point. 3 Balloons from Up, Up and Away plus 3 birds flying in the sky 3 little words - just for you - from Just Believe. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting.
