A Handmade Embellishment
Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone - hope you enjoy the extra day. Today's challenge at Make My Monday is to make a handmade embellishment for your card - I had great fun with this and ended up making loads!
I made this card for a lovely customer of mine who has recently celebrated a birthday and it's actually a butterfly brooch that's been attached to the card - you can see that in the second photo.
I got the idea from my upline Vicky and another fellow demonstrator Helen who had made theirs using the bird punch. I punched about 5 black, card stock butterflies and glued then one on top of another with Tombow glue. I then punched the butterfly from silver Glimmer paper and also glued that with Tombow. The pin was attached to the back with Crystal Effects. To attach it to the card I punched two small holes and joined then with a cut with a craft knife - the pin then slotted through very easily.
Materials - Stampin' Up
Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Ink: Certain Celery, Elegant Eggplant
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Gray
Paper: Silver Glimmer
Accessories: Elegant Butterfly Punch
Other: Hole punch, Brooch back, Tombow, Crystal Effects
(Please do drop me an e-mail if you would like to order any of the above items or indeed any Stampin' Up product from the two current catalogues found in my side bar - all my details are above in the top tabs - thanks).
Please do pop over and take a look at the wonderful work of the DT this week and I will see you soon - Jacqueline xx
