Addicted To Blue

It's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and this week the challenge is 'Addicted to Blue' - that means creating a card with the predominant colour of Blue.
My card has been made using Butterfly Prints (Stampin' Up) and various shades of blue - take a look


I really love the hound's tooth pattern of this stamp and it looks great in the blue don't you think? My colours are Bashful Blue, Taken with Teal and Pacific Point. Each stamped butterfly has been stamped and cut out and then layered on to a punched butterfly in the same colour blue. The sentiment has been stamped in Bashful Blue.

    Hi Jacqueline, what a dynamic card and I couldn't believe that the houndstooth was stamped it looks so perfect I thought it was DP it's gorgeous in those colours. Love the layering here and the lovely use of different shades of blue. How things are a little better at home and sending you lots of positive thoughts.

    This is such a great way to showcase 'blue' Jacqueline. As soon as I saw your card I thought 'now why didn't I think to do that'. Probably lucky I didn't really lol.

Yikes - I'm a bit late posting today, but when I got into my studio this morning I had forgotten that it looked like this I had a big family lunch yesterday and 'cos our house is so small, I have to keep stuff moving from room to room in order for there to be enough space. So I got to work straight away and now my desk looks like this There is a hidiously green magnetic board complete with snail magnets that I won in a raffle - just right for altering, some wooden drawer knobs onto which I will attach some foam to use with my disress inks and my chipboard albums from last week that I didn't get round to doing. It's a One Layer challenge this week at  Less is More  with the added extra of things in 3's - here is my card And here's how I made it: Post it notes to mask off a square and to make my 3 clouds 3 blues to stamp my images: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point. 3 Balloons from Up, Up and Away plus 3 birds flying in the sky 3 little words - just for you - from Just Believe. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting.
