MMM - Father's Day card

Image
This week at  Make My Monday  the challenge is to create a Father's Day card - this one is for my dad take a look I masked off the sides of the card and sponged the centre with More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler S'U inks - I then stamped some of the images from the French Foliage set and removed the masks. I inked the sides of the card and added more stamped images. The border is card stock edged with the scallop punch and I have then cut out some stamped leaves and popped them up with 3D foam pads. My sentiment is from a papermania set and is also attached with foam pads. There are some gorgeous cards this week from my design team so I do hope you can pop over and take a look. We are contemplating a trip to the coast at the moment - unfortunately not for pleasure. My daughter discovered over the weekend that her new student residence was flooded out in Aberystwyth - luckily she was home safe but I feel a clean up operation is on the cards! Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

A Bit of Bingo!

Image
Today over on the  Craft Your Days Away  challenge blog the theme is Bingo. The idea being to pick a line - straight or diagonal and create a card - here's the Bingo card Here is my card I have taken the diagonal line that includes - Flowers, Ribbon / Lace and Gems. My flowers are from the Stampin' Up Charming set, my black ribbon is cut from the shoulders of my cardigan (!) and my gems (down the side of the punched lace border) are tiny red ones. My white panel has been embossed using my scoring board but again my photography has let me down and it hardly shows up. The colours I have used are also S'U - Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Whisper White. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

White on White

It's  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  time again and today we have a colour challenge for you That's right - white - no other colour (except for perhaps stamping images and sentiments) Here is my card One of these days I shall be able to take a decent photograph of my embossing - doh! I have embossed some lines on a piece of white card stock, die cut some Christmas trees with a bunting die and embossed those with a dotty embossing folder. These have been attached with 3D foam pads and a silver star added. I have also a white organza bow. Don't forget to pop on over and visit my fellow team mates  Mynnette  and  Ruth  and have a great week end - Jacqueline xx

Here's my card My sky has been stamped using a post it note mask and Tempting Turquoise ink, my balloons (from the Up, Up & Away set) have been stamped in Tangerine Tango and Cherry Cobbler ink - the base card is Very Vanilla. These are the challenges I am entering this card into; Simply Stampin'  - Colour Challenge CAS-ual Fridays  - Create a Clean and Simple project using polka dots/ Thanks for looking - Jacqueline xx

The Big Jubilee Picture

Image
As part of the Jubilee celebrations and as a local artist I was asked to take part in 'The Big Picture' This is an event that I took part in last year for the Masquerade Fair ( see HERE ) and it was such a huge success that we did it again to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. A picture of the Queen was distributed to all the artists taking part along with a square section of that picture - that was the part we were to paint - on the day (Monday) all the squares were assembled hopefully making one big picture. Here is the section I painted And here is how it looked all together Didn't it look fantastic? I'm really glad I took part - it was great fun and a lovely addition to the festivities. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Joy Fold Card

Image
The challenge this week over on  Make My Monday  is a Birthday Card with Pearls, so for this week's Mid-week Motivation piece I made a Joy Fold card - take a look I have used some of my S'U Beyond the Garden DSP for this and the Greenhouse Garden stamp set. I've also used a variety of colours: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo. Here's how it stays shut I placed a cut out flower on the corner - I also embellished each flower with a blob of liquid pearls. Here's the Birthday sentiment It's from the Up, Up and Away set. This is also the card we will be making at my Tuesday morning workshop next week and as always I will post a step by step tutorial on how to make this card on my  Craft Club Blog  - stay tuned for a link in the side bar. Thanks for stopping by to take a look today - bye for now - Jacqueline xx
