Bright Hopes for Christmas
It's time for another colour challenge over on 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - they are pretty funky and not very traditional - but still very workable
Here is my card
This is a totally different approach for me as I have used MDS - My Digital Studio. It's Stampin' Up's digital card/scrapbooking program and it comes with loads of stuff.
I'm still working my way around it - believe me I am such a techno-phobe - and this is my first finished piece.
I printed off a piece of decorative paper with some snowflakes on - the snowflakes are in the Bright Hopes collection and I was able to colour them in Stampin' Up colours: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Garden Green.
I then printed off the main panel - the sentiment was digital too. I had a few offcuts of DSP so I cut out some snowflakes and added a few gems. It was printed on to Whisper White card stock and I used Garden Green for my mats.
I'm not sure that I shall be doing all my cards this way but it got me quick results for this challenge!
Thanks for looking - see you soon xx
I'm very impressed that you've used the Digital Studio! Great layout, super paper and I do like the tiny snowflakes added - they give great dimension.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use MDS..... I really must polish off the dust on mine! x
ReplyDeleteIf you are a technophobe there really is no hope for me! I honestly thought this was stamped. It's a great way to use all the colours of the challenge, a real fun and funky card.

ReplyDeleteA terrific hybrid card! The nice thing about digital is that you can move around and resize as many times as you want without wasting paper. Gorgeous use of colors and a fun nontraditional feel.
ReplyDeletetrès belle réalisation Jacqueline, les flocons sont si beaux et donnent des splash de couleurs fantastique, biz
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, this is a wonderful digital card, it certainly looks like you've got to grips with the technology! Great use of those non traditional colours and I love the sentiment layered over that beautiful snowflake!
