MMM - Challenge 13 - Photo Inspiration.

Good morning - happy Bank Holiday! Today's card is my dt piece for this week's Make My Monday challenge. We are still on THINGS WITH WINGS  but it's the last week of August so we will have a brand new theme starting next week. This week there is also a photo inspiration to whet your appetite take a look
I chose to use the picture literally and this is what I came up with
I took a 5" x 5" cream card base and placed on it a mat of Mellow Moss card stock. I then took a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and stamped my birdcage with Versamark ink. I then embossed it with white embossing powder. The leaves were punched from the 2 Step Bird Punch and the butterflies are also punched out. The flowers are quite special don't you think and I will be showing you how I made these on Wednesday in the Mid-week Motivation spot so don't miss it! Most of the materials and equipment used are Stampin' Up and the rest is from my stash box. It would be great to see you over there taking part and while you are there you can take a look at all the gorgeous projects made by my fabulous design team.

Yikes - I'm a bit late posting today, but when I got into my studio this morning I had forgotten that it looked like this I had a big family lunch yesterday and 'cos our house is so small, I have to keep stuff moving from room to room in order for there to be enough space. So I got to work straight away and now my desk looks like this There is a hidiously green magnetic board complete with snail magnets that I won in a raffle - just right for altering, some wooden drawer knobs onto which I will attach some foam to use with my disress inks and my chipboard albums from last week that I didn't get round to doing. Also found when clearing from one room to another was my old jewelery display board which will soon be converted to a card display board and an old set of corner shelves. All they needed was a quick flick of a J-Cloth and a spray of Flash (oops advertising - other cleaning products are avaliable) and they now stand proudly in my craft room displaying my most recent cr

It's a One Layer challenge this week at  Less is More  with the added extra of things in 3's - here is my card And here's how I made it: Post it notes to mask off a square and to make my 3 clouds 3 blues to stamp my images: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point. 3 Balloons from Up, Up and Away plus 3 birds flying in the sky 3 little words - just for you - from Just Believe. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting.
