A Trio of Challenges.

I've been having a little play (making up for lost time!) and I have managed to kill three birds with one stone!
I had a trip around blog land and found three challenges that took my fancy and came up with this card
I started with a 5" x 5" card base of Very Vanilla and added a square of Basic Black. I then took some Crumb Cake (mmmmmmm cake) on to which I added cut out flowers from the Simply Said stamp set. These were stamped in Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler. I did add some glitter to a couple of the flowers but the photo does not show this very well and then to finish it off I added a few ruby gems to some of the flower centres.
I love how this card turned out and I am going to enter it into the following challenges:
Clean and Simple - Sketch Challenge
Splitcoast Stampers - Colour Challenge - Basic Black, Cherry Cobber & Crumb Cake.
Less is More - Thank You or Congratulations.

    Crumb cake paper is lovely and makes a really great background colour to showcase your flowers. A stunning card:-)

    Gorgeous card :-) I love the crumb cake card colour ,,, even the name is fab !! The flowers are lovely and your faux stitching is perfect ! I usually do that closer to the edge but these look like tacking stitches ,,, really brill idea !! :-)

Yikes - I'm a bit late posting today, but when I got into my studio this morning I had forgotten that it looked like this I had a big family lunch yesterday and 'cos our house is so small, I have to keep stuff moving from room to room in order for there to be enough space. So I got to work straight away and now my desk looks like this There is a hidiously green magnetic board complete with snail magnets that I won in a raffle - just right for altering, some wooden drawer knobs onto which I will attach some foam to use with my disress inks and my chipboard albums from last week that I didn't get round to doing. It's a One Layer challenge this week at  Less is More  with the added extra of things in 3's - here is my card And here's how I made it: Post it notes to mask off a square and to make my 3 clouds 3 blues to stamp my images: Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point. 3 Balloons from Up, Up and Away plus 3 birds flying in the sky 3 little words - just for you - from Just Believe. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting.
