Good morning - it's time for another Christmas Card challenge over on the  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  and this week is our Stash Challenge and the theme is Paper Flowers And here is my card I used the Petite Petals stamps for this and the matching punch to create some poinsettia flowers to adorn my green wreath. They were all shaped with an embossing tool on a squishy mat before attaching to the card with a glue pen. It's Thursday and time for another challenge at  CAS - Colours & Sketches . Today it's a colour theme - take a look A beautiful collection don't you think, chosen for us by the lovely Louise. They are very Spring like too however, I went down another road and went under the sea - take a look I embossed with white embossing powder before sponging my ink over the top to create my sea. My Calypso Coral shell was also embossed and ink was sponged over the top before it was cut out and attached using dimensionals. The white heat embossed powder resists the ink and makes the images stand out beautifully - a sentiment was all that was needed to finish it off. There is a new challenge today at  Make My Monday  and in case you hadn't guessed the theme is 'Beautiful Butterflies' Here is my card I was very pleased how this card turned out - I nearly binned it half way through! I was colouring it and until I added the glitter I didn't like it all. It really does sparkle in real life especially with the rhinestones down the side too. The border was created by stamping the small butterfly and then cutting around the edges - I drew a faint pencil line to guide me too. Hi all - I'm back home again after over 3 weeks away. In case you didn't know my dad was having some pretty intensive chemotherapy treatment and I was staying with my mum till he came out of hospital. And he did - after nearly 3 weeks. The journeys to and from Birmingham have been quite exhausting and mum and I have felt very stressed and stained especially on the days when he had a very bad reaction to his treatment. But that is behind us now and we now have the task of building his strength back up and keeping him positive. As you know I am on the design team of 4 challenge blogs and while I have been away my fellow teamies have kept everything running so smoothly and efficiently and I would like to thank them all - it's a privilege to work alongside you all.
