The seasons are changing again and it seems we are gently drifting towards Autumn. School begins again soon and we shall be kicking our way through mountains of fallen leaves before we know it. I have taken a few days out, my poor dad is not good again and it looks like his cancer has moved to his lungs. He's having some scans and tests today and it's a very worrying time for us all. I do find it very difficult to craft when I'm worried and I've missed a couple of my DT posts - so sorry but today I do have a card. The third challenge goes live today over in  The Male Room  and this time the theme is THE GREAT OUTDOORS. Here is my card I love this set - it was an impulse buy as I just fell in love with the moose but he is proving very useful for The Male Room challenges! Walk in the Wild also has two bird images - a pheasant and a grouse I think (it looks like the bird from the whiskey adverts anyway!) plus it has a sentiment so an all round useful set! Well I can safely say that the first challenge over in  The Male Room  was a huge success as we had over 100 entries! Challenge no.2 starts today and we have the theme of REFLECTIONS,  Now this could be reflections on water, mirror images or if you are a scrap booker or make memory books perhaps a page looking back reflecting a memory - the choice is yours please just make sure it's male. Here is my card                                  This is the card I made recently for my Son's 20th birthday (I can't believe I have 2 children now in their 20's!). For this card I didn't use my brayer - although you could - I used my sponges to lightly dab the dark ink on to the card stock. The Midnight Muse ink is very dark but using a sponge meant that it could be lightly applied and built up gently to give the effect I was after. My moon was created from a punched post it note  - I made 2 actually so that the reflection was created, oh - and I did use my brayer to create

It's time for a new challenge over at  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  and this week it's a colour challenge You are allowed to use BLACK and WHITE (or off-white) in addition to the red and gold. No green! :) Please have fun with this one! For my metallic gold I chose to go with gold embossing powder and went very minimalist making my sentiment the main focal point - take a look I found some gorgeous ribbon my my stash drawer which was a perfect match for the Cherry Cobbler card stock I'd used so I used it to wrap around my card and add a large bow.
