Time For Another Challenge.

Image
As you have probably guessed - I quite like doing the odd challenge! This one is no exception. It's from Sunday Sketch and Stamp and I even created my own digi-stamp and paper to do it (not that I am bragging or anything!) I even got a bit adventurous with my camera and did a close- up. Anyway thanks for stopping by to take a look - why not click here  to see the challenge for yourself. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx.

More Easter Cards.

Image
Made these today, the pink one is for a friend of mine who I know LOVES pink and the blue one is a commission. They are easel cards which are my favourite things to make at the moment. They are so simple to make yet very effective. This is just a short post today - I have managed to track down some insructions for a 'milk carton' box and I am hoping to get that made tonight - good job my husband is making tea tonight! Bye for now - Jacqueline xx.

Making A Book.

Image
"What a mess" I hear you cry. Well not really just a few bits and pieces: cardboard cereal box, glue stick, wrapping paper (given to me by my lovely daughter - ages ago), printed diary pages and a 'Bind it All' machine. Can you tell what it is yet? Yay - it's a book! The Village Hall Diary actually. Don't you just hate it when you buy a diary and half the book is taken up with pages of conversion tables or travel infomation or birthdays of the Royal Family? (Not that I have got anything against the Royal Family - but I don't want to know when their birthdays are). O.K rant over - I made my own - my way. Hope you like it. I am really excited today as I am off to a 'Stampin Up' demo party tonight. Not before time either as I am right out of paper. Going to treat myself to some stamps too as I have been saving for weeks. Bye for now - Jacqueline.

Sparkly Things.

I downloaded this image as a freebie from the Pollycraft website - isn't it lovely - thank you Pollycraft. So, this is my entry for your challenge - Sparkly Things. There is glitter on the stripey background (which I designed myself!) and a blingy brad in the flower centre. Hope you like it - Jacqueline xx. To visit the Pollycraft blog click here

Entering The World Of Digi-Stamps.

Image
This cute little creature is an image I designed in order to have a stamp made. (I get my stamps made up by a company called Tanda Stamps). What I didn't realise was that a few companies are selling stamp designs via downloads, for money! How cool is that? This little creature - who I have named Fizzle - is my first digi-stamp, the first of many I hope. He looks like a stamped image and can be used in the same way as a stamped image. Here I have used coloured pencils and I have inked the edges but given the right materials he could be embossed, decoupaged or glittered etc. As you can see he makes a lovely Easter card - I even made the background papers myself! (By the way that is not a crown on his head but upside down eggshell.) Hi Dad if you are reading this. Hope you are feeling O.K. today - oh and Happy St. Patrick's Day. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Creating an Art Journal

Image
Mother's Day today, bit upset - no gifts. Had a card from my son but nothing from my daughter. She was out clubbing 'till 3.30 this morning and it looks like she has forgotten. Never mind I will spend the day crafting to cheer myself up. If, like me, you are an avid reader of Craft Stamper magazine you will know that they have just finished a three part series on Art Journaling. I have also seen examples of this on other people's blogs, and I thought "What a lovely idea".(Check out "Rosie's Arty Stuff" blog for some wonderful inspiration). I have decided to make my journal as a series of pages - one for each month - which I will then bind when it is finished. I completed January's today as you can see from the picture below. The inspiration came from all the snowy weather we experienced and one of my favourite carols - "In The Bleak Mid-Winter" by Christina Rosetti, and of course I used plenty of Stampin' Up materials. Next I thi

Mother's Day Cards

O.K so the first pic didn't come out very well - Dad I think you should take them from now on! Anyway these are my contributions to my mum and mum-in-law. I used my Stampin' Up products (of course) and I used Rose Red textured cardstock and ink and the "Simply Said" stamp set for the first card and again "Simply Said" stamps, So Saffron cardstock and Always Artichoke ink. I also made an ATC (sorry Bev) using again the Rich Regals collection and one of my favourite sets" Autumn Days". I was out one day when all the snow was about and saw some pheasents and was inspired.(I don't think the sky was as blue that day though!). Hope you like them - Jacqueline xx.

Nearly up and running.

O.K, I've still got a lot to learn but here goes - my first post. I am really excited to be sharing all my crafty ideas with you and meeting like minded people. I am really busy at the moment preparing for an upcomming craft show and also the next workshop for my club. We are stamping with bleach this month so I am looking forward to some interesting results.
