New Baby Mid-week Motivation

It's my turn again to do the Mid-week Motivation spot over on the Make My Monday challenge blog. The challenge this week is 'One for the Boys' so I have made a little congratulations note card to send to a new mum - take a look

This is a single stamp (from Stampin' Up of course!) and it was one of those stamps I just had to have! Usually I'm very sensible and think very carefully before making a purchase, thinking very hard about all the possibilities so that I can make the most of my money. Not so this time - as I said I just had to have it!
Today I have stamped it onto Naturals White card stock with Midnight Muse ink. I then used an aqua painter to gently move the ink around and colour the image in. No other colours are needed.
Here's a pic of the inside - I couldn't resist using my Sale-a-bration elephant again!

Materials
Stamps: Two by Two, Sassy Salutations, Patterned Occasions
Ink: Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Marina Mist
Card Stock: Whisper White, Naturals White
Paper: Polka Dot Parade DSP
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Scallop Edge Punch, Owl Builder Punch (red hearts), Window Framelits
(See all the info on ordering in the top tabs - all products listed above are Stampin' Up).

Hope this inspires you to have a go at our Masculine challenge this week - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

A Sale-a-bration Card

It's my turn to do the Mid-week Motivation over on Make My Monday this week. We have a great sketch challenge for you with the added element of making it CAS (Clean and Simple) too.
Here's the card I made using one of the stamps from one of the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets - take a look

This is just one from a set of 5

This delightful little elephant is so easy to ink up with markers so that each individual element of the stamp is perfectly coloured. It also means that you don't have to include the sentiment sitting just below the image however, that too can be inked with a marker

This image works perfectly for the inside of the card

Materials
Stamps: Patterned Occasions
Inks: Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, Early Espresso - all makers
Card Stock: Whisper White, Island indigo

This is just a tiny part of what you could be receiving FOR FREE - just spend £45.00 or more (excluding p+p) from the current Annual Catalogue. Please e-mail me on deezinesart@gmail.com to place an order. To see all the amazing items up for grabs please see my special Sale-a-bration page in the top tabs or click - HERE. See you soon - Jacqueline xx

ATS&M - CAS

This week it's a CAS week at Addicted to Stamps & More and I have been having a play with my Fine Feathers again - take a look

Now this is one of those cards that turned out totally different to how I wanted it to however, I was having coffee and a girly chat with my friend Louise at the time so I may have been a little distracted!
Here's what I used to make my card

Materials
Stamps: Fine Feathers, Sassy Salutations, French Foliage
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Naturals Ivory
Accessories: Dimensionals
Other: Twine
(All Stampin' Up products can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - please see the details in the top tab).

Now I know I'm supposed to be decorating the insides of my card - and I did, but my camera batteries died on me as I was taking the above picture hence the lack of inside pics!
I am hoping to steal borrow the ones from the TV remote tomorrow so I can photo my Sale a bration cards to show you - so please do pop back when you can, bye for now - Jacqueline xx

You can flip it or rotate it and even change the shapes but we must still be able to see the basic sketch in your projects. Also this week it must be Clean and Simple - no distressing this week please!

Here is my card

I have used my Bright Blossoms for this card along with polka dot paper from the Polka Dot Parade series.
Here is a close up of my vase and flower - each stamp is separate so that it can be easily inked in a different colour - also making the design possibilities endless.

Stamps: Bright Blossoms

Card Stock: Whisper White
Paper: Polka Dot Parade DSP
Accessories: Dimensionals
(All the above materials are Stampin' Up and can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - please see the details above in the top tab).

It has taken me 2 hours to get this post done - my internet is being soooooooooooo slow today and I have been getting more and more frustrated as the morning has progressed. It probably does't help that I haven't had any coffee yet - I'm suffering from caffeine deprivation!
So I am now going to log off, and grab a cup of coffee and hopefully calm down a little!! - Please don't forget to visit my dt buddies - their cards this week are stunning - Jacqueline xx

Feeling a little Blue

Only because the flowers are blue - I'm really happy at the moment, I'm sat in front of the fire blogging, my husband made cupcakes and he is making curry for tea - yum.

Here are my blue flowers

This set - Stippled Blossoms is fast becoming one of my favourites. I am a great fan of the 2 Step Stamping technique, I love the detail that can be achieved and the colour combinations are infinite. With this card I used Pool Party and Island Indigo for my flowers and Old Olive for the leaves. I stamped onto a piece of scrap paper before I stamped the first layer of green and then used it full strength for the detail stamping.
I used the Triple Timed Stamping technique for my card - I actually made this for our first workshop of the year a couple of weeks ago - there is a tutorial HERE if you would like to make one yourself.
Here's a close up of the middle

I shall be entering this card into the 'LAYERS' challenge over at the Card Crafters Circle

Materials
Stamps: Stippled Blossoms, Field Flowers (sentiment)
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Old Olive
Card Stock; Whisper White, Island Indigo
Other: White Ribbon
(All Stampin' Up products can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - please see the details in the top tab).

So - how is every one enjoying the snow? I'm not a fan, I ventured as far as the door to take this picture

My cat Louis got a little further

He didn't like it and hasn't been out since - sensible boy! - Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Creating Cup Cakes

Who doesn't like cup cakes? I love them but I'm now on my New Year diet so instead of eating them I am creating them on cards!!

It is so easy to create cup cakes like these using the fab stamp set Create a Cup Cake from Stampin' Up. Even easier is then punching out your stamped images with the new Cup Cake Builder punch - it even punches out the candles - how cool is that?
Being crazy about polka dots I was really excited to see the gorgeous DSP in the current catalogue, it's double sided and I have just used part of one sheet for my card - front and back. The Marina Mist of the paper co-ordinates perfectly with the Midnight Muse card stock and I have also used Midnight Muse and Pool Party inks. I added a splash of red with Cherry Cobbler candles and Summer Starfruit flames.

I also stamped the inside - very simply with a greeting and flower

Materials
Stamps: Create a Cup Cake
Ink: Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, Summer Starfruit, Chocolate Chip, Gumball Green
Card Stock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse
Paper: Polka Dot Parade DSP
Accessories: Cup Cake Builder Punch, Dimensionals
(Items above highlighted in red are Stampin' Up products and are all available in the current Annual Catalogue. I would be very happy to order any Stampin' Up product for you at any time and have it delivered direct to you door - details are at the top of the page).

We have snow falling - I hate snow. Sorry to be a kill joy but at times like this I really wish that I could hibernate - somewhere warm!!
Hope you are warm wherever you are - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Colour Challenge at CAS

It's time for another challenge over on the CAS - Colours & Sketches Challenge Blog and this week we have some colours for you - take a look

These are such pretty colours so I chose one of my prettiest stamp sets - Stippled Blossoms

This is a '2 Step' stamp set: the pale pink part of the rose was stamped first and then the darker pink detail stamp was stamped over the top. When stamping the leaves the paler green is still Old Olive it was stamped onto scrap paper first and then stamped onto the card stock before re-inking to stamp the detail stamp over the top.

Materials
Stamps:Stippled Blossoms, Create a Cupcake (sentiment) Sassy Salutations (inside)
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Old Olive
Paper: Subtles Collection DSP - Pretty in Pink
Card Stock - Very Vanilla
Accessories: Dimensionals
(all the above items can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - please see the details in the top tab).

Here is a quick pic of the inside - still managing to keep up with my New Year's resolution to decorate the insides of my cards!!

Don't forget to visit the challenge if only to see all the stunning work created by my DT this week and I will see you soon - Jacqueline xx

I have used my Cup Cake Builder punch to create my cup cake card and also the stamp set that matches it perfectly.
Here is a close up

Can you see that even the tiny cherries have been punched out making it so much easier to create the cup cakes?
