Summer Silhouettes

Image
Today's card is one I did for a challenge ages ago and didn't get around to posting - hence the limited colour palette. It uses Summer Silhouettes - take a look I think the colours were just Sahara Sand and Strawberry Slush - but I can't be certain! Today is a very sad day for me as I will cease to be a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. Unfortunately if the orders don't come rolling in regularly then minimums aren't made and you drop off - sad but true. Hopefully one day I will sign up again but until then I shall still be using also my existing SU stash and hopefully buying a bit more if funds allow. Thanks for stopping by - xx

Ship's Reflection

Image
The card I am showing off today looks very CAS but was a little complicated to make and actually took me quite a long time! It's a ship at sea - take a look So - how was it made? I'll tell you: firstly I inked up my stamp (from the stamp set Traveler) and I then took my brayer and rolled it carefully over my stamp - transferring the image. I then rolled my brayer over my piece of card stock. This gives a very faint image but more importantly when the image is upside down and the stamp is inked up again and stamped directly over it - it becomes the perfect mirror image. The top half of the picture was masked off and the sea was sponged in. I then decided I wanted the sun behind my ship - that meant making a mask of the ship - did I tell you this was complicated???? Once the ship was masked off the sun from Kinda Eclectic was stamped and the sky sponged in. The sentiment is from Painted Petals. Thanks for popping by today - see you soon xx

CAS Papaya Collage

Image
The card I have made for you today uses the now retired Papaya Collage - I purchased it just before it was retired so didn't use it much - I really must dust it off more often as it's one of my favourites! Although you can't tell from the piccie - this has been made on cream card stock! It's very clean and simple - one of my favourite styles of card making and is almost one layer. The rose is attached using a single dimensional. Thanks for looking xx

Just a little Bookmark

Image
Good morning and happy Monday to you all - hope you had a great weekend. This morning I have a little bookmark to off to you - come and take a look It's made using the Scallop Top Tag punch and a fold is left at the top so that it can fold over the page in your book. There is also a magnet inside to prevent it slipping out. The stamp set used is Kinda Eclectic and I added a Tangelo Twist ribbon top. A Scallop Edge punch was used to decorate the bottom and a few pearls to add the finishing touch. Thanks for taking the time to pop over and take a look today - see you again soon xx

Flower Patch Flower Card

Image
So this is my last Flower Patch post of the week and I have for you a cute little greetings card - come and take a look This card came about because I was scoring a note card but measured it wrongly - I had one half much larger than the other! Never mind I thought and punched with a scallop punch down the side to add a bit of interest. I teamed my Soft Sky background with Certain Celery and Pretty in Pink inks and added a Soft Sky seam binding ribbon - not bad for a nearly reject!! If you have fallen in love with this stamp set - like I have, there is still time to place an order with me. You have until the end of April to contact me and place your order - please email me on deezinesart@icloud.com See you soon xx

Flower Patch and Kraft Note Book

Image
So I've really gone to town this week with my Flower Patch stamps - hope you are not getting bored with it! Today I have a cute little note book which I have decorated - come and take a look If you look closely you will see that I have combined my stamps with some matching die cuts. These dies are fab if you you don't like cutting - just run them through the Big Shot! Plain Kraft note books are very popular in the shops at the moment and can be picked up quite cheaply. The one above is from Stampin' Up however, take a look at this post  HERE  and you will see what I did with a couple of books I bought from a Supermaret. Tomorrow will be my last post of the week and also the last of my Flower Patch projects - I hope you can join me.

Flower Patch and Hardwood

Image
I love using the Hardwood stamp as a background especially with flowers. Here's two cards I made combining them both I've used various pinks and purples for these cards and also added a splash or two of Crumb Cake with one of the stamps from Gorgeous Grunge. I distressed the edges of the paper a little and sponged the edges with an ink pad - that's about as far as I will go when it comes to distressing - no inky fingers for me if I can help it! Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon.

A Box for my Note Cards

Image
Remember my note cards yesterday? Well I made a decorated box to put them in - take a look These note card sets make great gifts and matching gift tags can also be made. Hope you enjoyed looking at these - more tomorrow I hope!

Flower Patch Card Set

Image
I've had the Flower Patch stamp set for ages now and not really used it enough. So when I found I had some spare time I dug it out and had a play! I went for a C6 card base for these cards as they look better as note cards - it's also easier to make envelopes for this size too! My colour combo was blue and yellow - very fresh and spring like plus a pop of orange - take a look I've been filling skips all weekend - Mum decided she wanted a garden clear up so we gloved up and set too. Bags of garden rubbish, old pots and tubs and we even demolished an old dilapidated shed - it all went in the skip. My space in the garage has increased so I'm hoping to get back in there and do more crafting - just have to wait for the dust to settle. Don't worry I covered everything in dust sheets first - hopefully no dust has landed in the crafting area! Thanks for looking today - see you soon xx

Blue Wetlands

Image
Hello - I'm back!!! Don't know for how long because we are experiencing terrible internet problems. It keeps dropping out which makes blogging very difficult! Anyway - I'm here and I have a blue card to share with you - come and take a look For this card I made my own background paper with the Fine Feathers set. It's turned out very masculine as I used a variety of blues and greys - my absolute favourite being the Lost Lagoon background card. The lone goose was stamped in Basic Gray and a simple 'Happy Birthday' sentiment was added and the panel was attached with some 3D foam pads. In light of my recent internet problems I have scheduled all my posts for next week - that means it will be working perfectly!! Thanks for looking - have a great rest of the weekend xx

Hand Made Birthday Gifts

Image
It was my niece's birthday recently and rather than buy her a gift I decided to make it. Or rather I bought a couple of boring notebooks and turned them into something beautiful! Take a look; I made a matching card too I love Kraft card stock and I think it looks great with black. My stamps of choice were Flowering Florishes plus an alphabet set for the name all stamped with a Stazon ink pad. Have a great weekend - hope the weather lasts! xx

More Cards!

Image
After recently finding my lost camera I can now reveal the cards I made for Mother's Day! I am very lucky to have a shelf at a farm shop where I used to live in Malvern where I can sell my cards. Here are some of the cards I made for them for Mothers Day I CASEd most of these from Pinterest and just changed the sentiments. I will be crafting for real tomorrow hopefully, so will have something current to show you! Bye for now xx
