MMM - Vellum

Over on the Make My Monday challenge blog today the theme is still AUTUMN SUPPLIES and this week we want to see projects using VELLUM. Here's my card

I started with a card base measuring 5" x 5" and I added a layer of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On to this I added my vellum. It's some I have had in my stash box for many, many years! It's pre-embossed and I just added some colours using my Stampin' Write markers. I tried stamping my sentiment on to the vellum but it didn't work so I re-stamped it on to card stock and attached it with Dimensionals.
My frame is made by stamping leaves on to white card stock, cutting them out and arranging around the edge of my vellum panel.

Materials
Stamps: French Foliage, Love and Sympathy
Ink: So Saffron, Early Espresso (marker), Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade (marker), Peach Parfait (retired marker)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Dimensionals
Other: Vellum
(Please feel free to order any of the above current items - there's a link at the top with all the details)

Thanks for looking - Jacqueline xx

I've had great fun today as I have been attempting to make the beautiful Christmas decoration from the front cover of the Holiday Mini (see side bar). I trawled YouTube for instructions - there are so many that I finally gave up and did my own thing! I don't have all the materials used either so I improvised - a lot!
Take a look

I used two ornament shapes plus the round centre piece along with Very Vanilla card stock, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler ink.
Here's a close up

I added a pearl to the centre - one of the large ones from the Basic Pearls pack, only £4.50 and you get loads!

Materials
Stamps: Ornament keepsakes
Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Holiday Ornaments Framelit Dies, Basic Pearls.

Ornament Keepsake Poinsettia

I've been having a play with my Ornament keepsake bundle and apart from the 'normal' Christmas ornament style projects I have made this poinsettia flower from some of the die cut shapes

I stamped and die cut 8 of the red ornament shapes and then a further 5 of the green - the ornament tops have been hidden by adding the centre. This is the small round stamp from the set and I cut out the very middle part to create the flower centre.
Here's a close up

Materials
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Christmas Blessings (sentiment)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker)
Card Stock: Naturals White, Crumb Cake,
Paper: Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP
Accessories: Holiday Ornaments Framelits
(If you would like to make a card like this there is a special offer this month with the Ornament Keepsake bundle - see the side bar for details).

I will be entering this card in this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge

and
Craft-room challenge
where the theme is Punches and Die Cuts.

Thanks for looking - going to attempt a version of the hanging ornament from the cover of the Holiday Mini so please come back for that. Bye for now - Jacqueline xx

It's a rather Clean and Simple design this week using the circular stamp from Just Believe simply stamped in Real Red ink and cut out using a circular punch. Faux Stitching

It's Make My Monday time again and this week our Autumnal Supplies are to include STITCHING - REAL OR FAUX.
Here is my card

I have chosen faux stitching for my card today - this has been made very easy by the use of my new paper piercing template - I just placed it on my card stock and pierced through the holes with my pokey tool. I then connected the holes with the thin end of an Early Espresso marker. It makes the perfect frame for my autumnal scene which uses the recently retired Autumn Days stamp set. I make no apologies for using a retired set - I love Stampin' Up products but most of all I love crafting and these sets are far too nice to lie neglected on my shelves!

Here's what I used:
Stamps: Autumn Days (retired)
Ink: Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso (marker), Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler (marker).
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Naturals White
Accessories: Dimensionals, Paper-Piercing Pack
(the paper-piercing pack is FREE if you place an order for the Ornament Keepsake stamps and the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP - see the side bar for details)

There are some a-may-zing DT cards over on the blog so please do go and check them out PLUS - we have a prize this month which is definitely not to be missed - see you over there - Jacqueline xx

Quick & Easy Gift Ideas

Who doesn't love a prettily decorated notebook, especially if it has a matching pen too? Little notebooks are available in most shops - I picked these up at my local supermarket, all that was needed was a small piece of decorative paper to give them a festive feel - take a look

I've used some of the Stampin' Up Festival Prints DSP  which can be found in the current Holiday Mini catalogue (there's a link in the side bar).
With my notebooks I also purchased a pack of pens. With these I just unscrewed the barrels and inserted some matching paper rolled up very tightly.

My favourite is the the red polka dots - I think that might just make it in to my handbag!
Please do get in touch if you would like to order any of the lovely Stampin' up goodies from either of the catalogues featured in my side bar, my contact details are at the top of the page.
See you soon - Jacqueline xx

See the background paper? That's some of the Candlelight Christmas Speciality DSP - isn't it lovely? It's so easy to create pretty baubles like these as there is no tedious cutting involved - of course you will need a die cutting machine.
Here is a view of the front of the card

This is an easel card and I used four each of the bauble shapes to make the ones on the card. Here's what I used to make my card

Materials
Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes, Sassy Salutations

MMM - oops!

ooops indeed - guess who didn't read the brief this week?.................erm that would be me then!
It's a new month at Make My Monday and it's quite complicated (well it was complicated for me!!) The theme is AUTUMN,  and also CRAFT SUPPLIES,  and the challenge is to create a card or project following the themes and using KRAFT & STRING (TWINE).
Here is my card -

So I used my Kraft and I used some Twine - I just forgot the Autumn bit. Sorry but as I really don't have time to change it you will have to make do with this.
I layered my white and Kraft card stock and also cut smaller squares to stamp onto. My little coloured flowers have been stamped, cut out by hand and attached using Dimensionals. The sentiment panel has also been attached the same way so it stands up over the twine which can be a bit bulky.
Please do pop over to the blog and take a look at the DT cards - they are so much more appropriate than mine. We also have a prize this month so if you decide to have a go please make sure you read the rules and follow the theme as I'm sure you won't want to miss out on that.

Materials
Stamps: Bright Blossoms, Sassy Salutations
Ink: Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse
Card Stock: Crumb Cake (same as Kraft), Naturals White
Accessories: Dimensionals
Other: Twine
(all products used are Stampin' Up - please feel free to look through the catalogue in the side bar - any S'U product can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door please see the link at the top)

Thanks for stopping by to take a look today - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

I then punched out some teeny tiny flowers in matching coloured card stock and added a pearl to the centres. I also scored two lines either side of the sentiments.

Materials
Stamps: Sassy Salutations
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Primrose Petals
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Basic Pearls
Other: Flower Punch
