Christmas Foiling

It's time to head on over to the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown for this week's stash challenge

Now I had to improvise big time with this challenge as I don't have any gilding flakes or foils. However I do have some foiled card stock. I used gold and red - take a look

My white panel was die cut with a star die. Into to aperture I place my gold star which also had a star cut out of it. Into that was placed and smaller red star. The stars are then completely flush with the base of the card.

Please do pop over to the blog - there are many more foiling techniques used by my fellow team members as well as a couple of videos.

Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon xx

CAS - Colour Challenge

I'm here again with my weekly dash to enter my card into the CAS - Colours & Sketches challenge. One day I shall surprise every one and do it the day it goes live!!!
The challenge this week is colours

and here is my card

I stamped my flourish in Soft Suede directly on to my card base. I then die cut a label on my Big Shot and embossed it with a rose embossing folder (free in a magazine ages ago) - this was done with So Saffron card stock. My butterflies were punched using Rose Red card stock and were finished off with a few gems. The sentiment was stamped in Rose Red ink.
Here's a close up

Thanks for stopping by to take a look - see you soon xx

One Layer Anniversary Card

Well - no snow yet but it's pretty icy outside, I'm just glad I'm staying put today and sharing this card with you.

This is a One Layer card so it fits perfectly in to the challenge over on Stampin' Royalty and I've used the colours from the Color Throwdown

Just when you thought Christmas was over................... I am with a Christmas card! It's OK - I'm back on the team at
I really missed not playing along last year and as a result had hardly any cards ready in December when I needed them.
Not this year - this year when December comes I will be all organised and have a hefty pile of hand made cards ready to give out to friends and family.
You could too - the challenge this week is a sketch. Take a look and maybe play along with us.

And here is my card

The image is from Serene Silhouettes and I've added some red berries with a marker pen. My border is some gold glitter washi tape and I've embellished with a wooden snowflake and some red gems.

Blooming Birthday

Good morning blog readers. It's another soggy day in Bridgnorth - good job I live at the top of a hill as I don't think it will be long before the river bursts it's banks.
Today's card is a simple birthday card made on a 4" x 4" card base - take a look

These are photo polymer stamps from Stampin' Up - wish I could remember the name of it .......... ah it's just come to me - Flower Patch!
I love how versatile it is, there are loads of combinations to making the flowers and they can be over stamped or fussy cut and built up with foam pads.

This card is being entered into this week's challenge over on Stampin' Royalty where the theme is 'Birthdays'.

Thanks for looking - bye for now xx

Peacock Screen Card

Good morning from a very wet Bridgnorth! Today I have a screen card to share with you - take a look

This is is closed but when you open it.............

A peacock sitting on the fence.
The background was created by sponging over torn copy paper to make misty mountains and green hills. The tress were stamped two or three times before re-inking to create a bit of perspective and then the fence was added to make the foreground.
The peacock was stamped, coloured, cut out and attached with foam pads to make him stand out and all the panels were sponged around the edges.
Here is a close up of the peacock

He was coloured using my Stampin' Write markers.

Hope you enjoyed today's post - back soon xx
