Christmas Foiling

Image
It's time to head on over to the  52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown  for this week's stash challenge Now I had to improvise big time with this challenge as I don't have any gilding flakes or foils. However I do have some foiled card stock. I used gold and red - take a look My white panel was die cut with a star die. Into to aperture I place my gold star which also had a star cut out of it. Into that was placed and smaller red star. The stars are then completely flush with the base of the card. Please do pop over to the blog - there are many more foiling techniques used by my fellow team members as well as a couple of videos. Thanks for stopping by today - see you soon xx

My butterflies were punched using Rose Red card stock and were finished off with a few gems. The sentiment was stamped in Rose Red ink. Here's a close up Thanks for stopping by to take a look - see you soon xx

Blooming Birthday

Image
Good morning blog readers. It's another soggy day in Bridgnorth - good job I live at the top of a hill as I don't think it will be long before the river bursts it's banks. Today's card is a simple birthday card made on a 4" x 4" card base - take a look These are photo polymer stamps from Stampin' Up - wish I could remember the name of it .......... ah it's just come to me - Flower Patch! I love how versatile it is, there are loads of combinations to making the flowers and they can be over stamped or fussy cut and built up with foam pads. This card is being entered into this week's challenge over on  Stampin' Royalty  where the theme is 'Birthdays'. Thanks for looking - bye for now xx

Peacock Screen Card

Image
Good morning from a very wet Bridgnorth! Today I have a screen card to share with you - take a look This is is closed but when you open it............. A peacock sitting on the fence.  The background was created by sponging over torn copy paper to make misty mountains and green hills. The tress were stamped two or three times before re-inking to create a bit of perspective and then the fence was added to make the foreground.  The peacock was stamped, coloured, cut out and attached with foam pads to make him stand out and all the panels were sponged around the edges. Here is a close up of the peacock He was coloured using my Stampin' Write markers. Hope you enjoyed today's post - back soon xx
