Animal C.A.S.E

The card I have for you today is as I said a CASE - copy and share everything. I have cased Michelle Zindorf - one of my favourite crafters and the card in question can be found HERE So mine is a little different in that I used totally different colours but the design is the same. I used the beautiful Nature's Beauty to create this card along with Snow Front. It's a very simple colour palette with Crumb Cake ink for the stamping and sponging and a Crumb Cake marker for colouring in the deer. Versamark ink and white embossing powder were used for the foliage. I will be entering this card into the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge Thanks for looking - see you soon - J xx

Time for some Christmas Sparkle

Image
Just a quick post to direct you to the  Christmas 24 Challenge Blog Where our new challenge is And here is my card So I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and randomly stamped some snowflakes. I used Basic Gray for the larger flakes then a pale blue - Coastal Cabana and then I finished up with a brighter blue with Bermuda Bay. Into each flake I added a sparkly gem. I mounted my card stock on to some Basic Gray card which was then attached to a base of Bermuda Bay. The greeting is from the same set (retired) Endless Wishes and this was also layered like the card. A big gross grain gray ribbon was added as a finishing touch. Hope you like it and that you pop over to take a look at all the fab sparkly cards from my DT. See you soon  - J xx

Soft Spring Easel Card

Image
Today's card is one that has sort of evolved into something else as I was making it! I started off with my wisteria image from the hostess set Soft Spring. I had seen it used on a friend's blog and I was inspired to use it again. Change no. 1 - I suddenly decided to change the colour from a soft violet shade to the bright yellow of a laburnum blossom. Here's the card I didn't like it! There was no place for a sentiment and it turned out very flimsy. Change no. 2 - I turned it into an easel card I used a darker green over my leaves and used a base of Garden Green card stock and I'm pleased to say I like it a lot better now! I am entering this card into the challenges over at Make My Monday Challenge Blog the theme is  SPRING FLOWERS Challenge Up Your Life FOCUS ON FLOWERS Inkspirational It's been a very blustery day in Bridgnorth today although it's still lovely and sunny - too windy for washing though

Soft Florals

Image
This card uses images solely from the Beautiful Friendship set and was very quick to make. Take a look The blue flowers are actually quite a large stamp so it's very easy to cover your paper in a very short time. I think - but I can't remember - the colour I used may have been Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz to stamp my leaves. The sentiment is also from the set and is stamped in Basic Gray. I am entering this card into the challenge over at Less is More That's it for now - thanks for stopping by - J xx

Be as Bold as your Lipstick!

Image
Good morning and Happy Easter - hope everyone is safe and well and staying home. I thought this was going to a time when I would be able to craft to my heart's content and get up to date with my blogging. But no. The washing machine decided to break on the first day of the lockdown so I have been hand washing everything - towels, bath sheets, double duvet covers and sheets and of course clothes - I'm not a happy bunny! Thank goodness the weather has been good so that I can get everything dry. I also decided to get out into the garden and do some tidying up. I have found this to be extremely enjoyable especially with it being so sunny and warm and in the last couple of days positively hot! Then there is my mum- she still needs care and I'm getting into a pretty good routine now and her days are structured plus she's having regular meals now that I'm around to checkup on her plus she's drinking more and she is responding well to this. So - when I am able

1 Year Anniversary

Image
This week I celebrated my one year anniversary with Stampin’ Up. I have been a demo on and off since 2012 but I’ve been in love with the products since it started in the UK in I think 2007. One of the best things about being a demo for me is the friends I have made. I’m part of a group called the Pinkies and they are more like a family than friends and are always there when I need help - whether it be personal or craft related. Michelle - our group ‘mum’ made me a beautiful celebratory pic And send me a beautiful little gift, card and tag At the moment I am a hobby demo which means I just buy for myself and take advantage of the discount on the catalogue products however I would love to have my own team so if you too would like discount on your crafting essentials - let me know and I will send you details. If however you just fall in love with the products and want to purchase some of the excellent items in the catalogue, please get in touch and I can place an order

It's time for another colour challenge over at the Rainbow Card Challenge and this month it's a gorgeous blue - just like those expensive little boxes from a certain jeweller! Here is my card I used my new set Dressed to Impress for this challenge and I also decided to make my own background paper too. I repeat stamped the beautiful scent bottle in Basic Gray and then added the colour Coastal Cabana. The flowers were coloured with a Pool Party Light Blend pen. As always my team mates have produced some truly awesome cards for this challenge - please do pop over and take a look. Thanks for stopping by - see you soon - J xx
