Just a little note

Just to say that this will be the last time I will post on my blog this side of Christmas. I do have loads of scheduled challenge posts which I hope you will be back to see and I would also like to remind you of my Stampers Six Club starting in January. (Details are at the top of the page).
The reason for this is that my poor old Granddad died this week - you may remember I spent a great deal of time this year caring for him after an operation. The funeral is Christmas eve so you can imagine that there is a lot to do. If I don't get round to commenting on your blogs as regularly as I should please forgive me - I promise I will be back to normal after Christmas.
That just leaves one more thing to say - Merry Christmas to you all - have a great one and see you soon - Jacqueline xx

Addicted to Stamps & More - Bingo!

Over on the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge blog myself and the rest of the DT have been indulging in a spot of Bingo - take a look at the card we have been using

For my card I chose the line: Green, Emboss (I did both dry and heat embossing) and DSP

I made a huge rosette onto which I added a die cut bauble. - I love the gold embossing on the green and I decided to leave it clean and simple and leave off a sentiment. The white panel behind my rosette has been embossed using a dotty EF and matted onto green card stock.

Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes
Ink: Versamark
Card Stock: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Wild Wasabi DSP
Accessories: Holiday Ornament Framelit Dies, Gold EP
Other: Dotty EF
(All Stampin' Up items listed above can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - see details above)

ATS&M is taking a break now 'till after Christmas please do pop over and wish my fellow DT team mates a Happy Christmas - see you soon - Jacqueline xx

White on White

It's challenge time again at Make My Monday and DT member Caz would like to see White on White Christmas Cards. You may use another colour for accenting if you wish - here's what I came up with

I love these kind of cards - they are awful to photograph though! I've tried to add lots of texture to this card by adding some embossing and piercing to my card stock. I also heat embossed my bauble using clear EP - you can just about see it! Here's a close up

To finish off I added some white leaves and pearls.

Stamps: Ornament Keepsakes
Ink: Versamark
Card Stock: Whisper White

Other: Dotty EF

Make your Mark

Guess who went to bed last night and forgot to schedule their post for Addicted to Stamps & More? Sorry Kylie!
Anyway the challenge this week is 'Make Your Mark' - create a card or project, any subject but use marker pens.
Here is my card

The marker pens I have used are Stampin' Write markers and not only did I use them to ink up my stamps but I did a little colouring as well. Markers are great for this kind of set - I was able to ink up the holly leaves in green and add the red for the berries before stamping - very difficult with ink pads.
Please don't forget to pop over and see all the lovely cards make by the rest of the DT this week and hopefully I will be stopping by to take a look at your work soon - bye for now - Jacqueline xx

Stamps: Christmas Blessings
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade - markers
Card Stock: Whisper White
All supplies are Stampin' Up - please e-mail on to place an order of join my Stampers Six club.

MMM - Favourite Flower

It's Make My Monday time once more and this month we have our lovely Caz hostessing the weekly challenges.
This week she would like us to make projects portraying our FAVOURITE FLOWERS. Caz's favourite I believe are Poppies and she has made some really beautiful cards in the past using poppy images. Me on the other hand - well I can't decide. I do genuinely love all flowers and tend to 'swither' according to occasions or seasons. For example in Spring I go all out for Daffodils and in late Summer I adore the orange Marigolds with their furry brown centres. For my birthday - June, my Peonies are always in flower in the garden.
Of course I have my favourite for Christmas too and that would be the Poinsettia - like the one I have made for my card today, please take a look

So using a piece of Crumb Cake card stock I stamped a border of Holly and Ivy and I also stamped the sentiment directly on to the card. My main Poinsettia flower was stamped using one of the leaves from my French Foliage set and some Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade ink. each petal and leaf was stamped separately and cut out and then arranged to make the flower.

Stamps: French Foliage, Christmas Blessings. Made for You
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade (marker - retired), Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade (marker)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Other: Yellow Gems.
(Don't forget to take a look in the top tab if you would like to order any of the above current items. There is loads more to see in the catalogue too - there's a link in the side bar).

Please do pop over to the blog to discover what the DT's favourite flowers are and I will see you soon - Jacqueline xx

And here is my card

Very CAS this week and I have rotated the sketch, I've also used my Christmas Blessings set - here's the full list of what I have used

Stamps: Christmas Blessings
Inks: Cherry Cobbler (marker), Gumball Green (marker), Summer Starfruit (marker)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
(Don't forget you can order all these items and more through me - please see the details at the top of the page)

This post is rather late for the challenge but please do pop over and check out all the other gorgeous DT cards.
I'm feeling very sad today as I have had to miss this year's village Christmas Fair. I do it every year but this year I am just too tired. This week has been full of doctor visits, blood tests and more treatment for my poor husband and the worry of that combined with the news that my granddad is still very unwell has caused a few sleepless nights. I just haven't the energy to do a Christmas stall so I have decided to give it a miss this year.
Good luck to all those involved - I know that my Craft Club Ladies are all taking part so I hope it all goes really well.
Have a great weekend everyone, see you soon  - Jacqueline xx
