In need of some cheering up.

I've just got back from visiting my mum and dad. Dad's been having some more of his chemo treatment. He also has to have some radiotherapy as his cancer has moved to his neck. It's been very hard this last visit as my poor old dad has had to have 12 teeth out to prevent any infection via his teeth to the bone in his jaw - he's been in a lot of pain to say the least.
So I got home late last night - missing Valentine's Day with my husband only to find that he would be leaving for Stockholm at 4am this morning, it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow too and we will miss it.
Hopefully we can celebrate when he gets home on Friday.
I did manage to do a little crafting today as my friend Louise came round to play. We had decided that we would try and make the Moving Pictures card from this month's Craft Stamper mag - I will show you the results of that tomorrow - it's safe to say that I probably won't be making it again any time soon as it was quite a complicated tutorial to follow.
Any how - on a lighter note here is a picture of what my husband bought last week to decorate our bedroom with

I said it looked like a giant brayer - my husband enquired whether I would like to brayer one of my scenes on the bedroom wall? No I replied - they don't make big enough post it notes to make my moons!
See you soon - Jacqueline xx.

  1. I've just seen your post on my reader Jacqueline. I'm so sorry that your dad's having such a rough time and it must be hard for you too. Glad Louise was able to come round and cheer you up and I'll look forward to seeing the results of your labours! I expect you'll be hard at work on the brayered scene in time to surprise your husband on his return...! Take care, Vicky x

  3. Jacqueline I'm so sorry your Dad is having such a horrible time and I know how awful it is to see them suffer and be unable to do anything. The rest of your post made me giggle! That's a lot of brayering to get to grips with:) Take care
