Flamingo Bookmark

It's starting to become a habit this blogging after midnight lark! I've been out on the town tonight in Hereford. We went to Miller and Carter steak house. I didn't have steak - I'm not a fan but I did have some lovely fish followed by banoffee pie - yummy!! I drank a couple of glasses of wine and finished off with a glass of gin so I feeling very relaxed and happy now!

I don't have a card for you today but a bookmark made with the Fabulous Flamingo set - take a look


I had a spare piece of card stock that was quite long so I folded it over and inserted it into the Scallop Top Tag punch. I didn't put it in all the way so that the fold didn't get cut off. Ribbon was added and magnets were attached inside


A lovely way to use up scrap card.

I'm travelling to Malvern to see my son tomorrow. I don't think I've seen him since January so I'm very excited. I'm also getting to see my old cat Louis. My son adopted him a couple of years ago when I had to leave due to my marriage breaking down and I've missed him so much.

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
