MMM - Vellum

Over on the Make My Monday challenge blog today the theme is still AUTUMN SUPPLIES and this week we want to see projects using VELLUM. Here's my card

I started with a card base measuring 5" x 5" and I added a layer of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On to this I added my vellum. It's some I have had in my stash box for many, many years! It's pre-embossed and I just added some colours using my Stampin' Write markers. I tried stamping my sentiment on to the vellum but it didn't work so I re-stamped it on to card stock and attached it with Dimensionals.
My frame is made by stamping leaves on to white card stock, cutting them out and arranging around the edge of my vellum panel.

Materials
Stamps: French Foliage, Love and Sympathy
Ink: So Saffron, Early Espresso (marker), Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade (marker), Peach Parfait (retired marker)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Dimensionals
Other: Vellum
(Please feel free to order any of the above current items - there's a link at the top with all the details)

Thanks for looking - Jacqueline xx

  1. Just gorgeous Jacqueline. Love the pumpkin pie contrast behind your beautiful leafy frame and the design is perfect for the sentiment.
I've found the only way to stamp on vellum is to use a permanent ink (not sure if Stampin' Up does that but worth a try if they do)

  2. Hi Jaqueline I too had difficulty stamping onto the vellum ... I have a very limited number of permanent inks and I got very frustrated at not being able to achieve the look I wanted... I changed direction all together using digi images on printable vellum.. youe card is lovely with the gorgeous french Folliage leaves.

  4. I love these gorgeous leaves Jacqueline and they look beautiful arranged around your vellum background. When I want to stamp on vellum, I ink up with versamark first then with whatever colour ink I want, then clear emboss. This only works with thick vellum (like the SU one) though. You can do this with an image too and colour it in from the back with markers too. (Oops, I've got carried away - I'll shut up now!) Vicky x
