Make and Take

Before I launch into my post can I just say - look at my fab new blog design!!! I had it specially designed for me by fellow SU demonstrator and Pinkie Catherine Carroll. She is going to add a link here to her site soon so do watch out for that.
Now this time last week I was preparing for my catalogue launch Open House Event. I love to spoil my customers so the first thing I did with them when they arrived was sit them down to a free Make and Take - here it is


I don't know if you can quite see in the photo but the black CS has been embossed in the Mosaic embossing folder making it super easy to add the mosaic punched tiles. How do you like the pop of yellow - it's a new colour called Crushed Curry - I love it! I've also used another new colour - Smoky Slate - also gorgeous!
My lovely ladies also had a lucky dip on the day and a choice of retiring sets to purchase too plus a free gift for all orders over £25 on the day - I think they all went home happy!

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
