Make My Monday - Pink and Black

Good morning - it's Monday and that means another challenge over on the Make My Monday challenge blog. This week Caz has chosen our theme and she wants to see cards or projects using the colours

Here is my card

I have used a stamp today that I have never used before (hanging my head in shame), what's more it's retired and unfortunately not available any more however, that's no reason not to use it!
It's from last year's Hostess selection 'Simply Soft'. the flower branches were stamped in black Stazon ink onto Rose card stock, the flowers were then coloured with a white gel pen - this gave them a lovely pale pink colour. The card was then mounted on to black and a sentiment added.

All materials are Stampin' Up
Stamps: Simply Soft (retired), Love and Sympathy
Ink: Black Stazon
Card Stock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Basic Black
Accessories: White Gel Pen
(All Stampin' Up products can be ordered through me and delivered direct to your door - please see the top tabs - thank you).

I made my daughter very happy yesterday as I bought her the DVD Skyfall - she's been home form uni this weekend. My son also returned after a week away so I have had a full house and four for Sunday lunch - it was just like old times!

Don't forget to visit the challenge blog and take a look at the beautiful work this week from the DT and I will see you soon - Jacqueline xx

  4. Beautiful Jacqueline. Simply Soft is one of my favorite stamp sets ... and I usually color them with the marker layering effect. But the white gel pen on the colored cardstock is so striking!! Must give that a try! Thanks for inspiring. Loll xx
