Christmas Pines

Today I have another card made using the Christmas Happiness set - it's fast becoming a favourite


I love the tree lights and although you can't see in the picture they have been glittered to make them all twinkly. The background is all one layer stamping although the lights and pine cones are 2-step stamping images. My middle panel has been layered on to Cherry Cobbler card stock and I found a scrap of matching ribbon in my stash box (not Stampin' Up). The main pine cone has been attached using dimensionals and it too has been glittered with Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The inspiration for this card came from this post by Mary Deatheridge HERE - she has some fantastic projects on her blog - it's well worth a visit.

My internet has been behaving very badly lately and it's taken me three days just to get this post up! Even my 4G phone has struggled - what do you think - atmospherics perhaps? Anyway we're up and running today - long may it last!

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
