Bright Hopes for Christmas

It's time for another colour challenge over on 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - they are pretty funky and not very traditional - but still very workable

Here is my card

This is a totally different approach for me as I have used MDS - My Digital Studio. It's Stampin' Up's digital card/scrapbooking program and it comes with loads of stuff.
I'm still working my way around it - believe me I am such a techno-phobe - and this is my first finished piece.
I printed off a piece of decorative paper with some snowflakes on - the snowflakes are in the Bright Hopes collection and I was able to colour them in Stampin' Up colours: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Garden Green.
I then printed off the main panel - the sentiment was digital too. I had a few offcuts of DSP so I cut out some snowflakes and added a few gems. It was printed on to Whisper White card stock and I used Garden Green for my mats.
I'm not sure that I shall be doing all my cards this way but it got me quick results for this challenge!
Thanks for looking - see you soon xx

  1. I'm very impressed that you've used the Digital Studio! Great layout, super paper and I do like the tiny snowflakes added - they give great dimension.

  2. What a great idea to use MDS..... I really must polish off the dust on mine! x

  3. If you are a technophobe there really is no hope for me! I honestly thought this was stamped. It's a great way to use all the colours of the challenge, a real fun and funky card.

  4. I am impressed, Jacqueline. Never would have guessed this is not stamped! It's awesome, the colours is pretty and who can resist a snowflake or two! Have a lovely weekend.

  5. You've done a wonderful job with MDS Jacqueline - this is lovely. Love the addition of the rhinestones for added sparkle. A fabulous Christmas card to be proud of. Have a great weekend, hugs, Gill xx

  6. A terrific hybrid card! The nice thing about digital is that you can move around and resize as many times as you want without wasting paper. Gorgeous use of colors and a fun nontraditional feel.

  7. très belle réalisation Jacqueline, les flocons sont si beaux et donnent des splash de couleurs fantastique, biz

  8. Jacqueline, this is a wonderful digital card, it certainly looks like you've got to grips with the technology! Great use of those non traditional colours and I love the sentiment layered over that beautiful snowflake!

Thank you SO much for having me on the DT at 52 {C}CT, I've learned so much and definitely grown as a crafter, I really appreciate the opportunity!
