Just Us Girls - DT Call

There is a DT Call over on Just Us Girls and I think I have made it by the skin of my teeth! I found out about it a week ago but since then I have had kittens at the vets having operations and my daughter leaving for university and it got pushed onto the back burner till today.
The first part of the challenge was to make a card or scrapbook layout using this sketch

Here is my card


The next thing to do was create a project using a 3D template - take a look:


This is a fabulous little box made out of some card I bought at my local supermarket - it's really thick and perfect for making boxes, unfortunatly though I can't give any colour names.
The decoration is flowers made from some Marianne D Creatables dies.
But the best thing about this box is when you open it up it looks like this:


As you open the box there are four little boxes inside that are arranged in steps then as you close the box they fold neatly away inside.

    What a lot you've had on - it's not surprising the project went on the back burner. The box is brilliant Jacqueline! I was given chocolates for my birthday in a box a bit like this and I've been gazing at it ever since! I love that you made a coordinating card. Vx

    Two great projects - good luck with the DT call. I've made a similar box with fabric but not seen a template for one in card

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
