Muscari Meadow

Muscari or Grape Hyacinth have always grown in great profusion in my garden and they will always have a special place in my heart. My dad hated them! The more he tried to irradicate them from the garden the more they would grow! It became a huge family joke!

The stamp set Tranquil Tulips has a muscari stamp in it and today I have created this card - dedicated to my dad who sadly passed away two years ago - take a look


This card is made just using the Tranquil Tulips set - there are lots of lovely elements perfect for stamping stems and grassy leaves and it makes making cards like this a doddle! All that's needed is a little light sponging.
No sentiment on this card as I haven't yet decided who it is for. 

Just a quick post today as I'm back at work after a lovely long weekend off. I have however got some time off in order to make preparations for something very exciting happening at the start of July - hope you will join me for that - see you soon xx

I do love my nature stamps and I also love stamps of the sea whether it be above or below the waves. I have taken possession of a new set from the catalogue called Beauty of the Deep. I have made a card with this set as it lends it's self perfectly to the the new Boho Blue In Colour. It also has a gorgeous little fish which I couldn't wait to use - take a look Although I've mostly used blue ink I had added white highlights with a gel pen and then to finish it off a little sparkly blue gem. Starting the Year with a Christmas Card

 I have decided to try and get on top of my Christmas cards early this year and so far it’s going well!!! Here is a card that has been made using the Sweet Gingerbread set - I love gingerbread houses and the stamps and matching dies are really cute. I used the sketch from  52 Christmas Card Throwdown  - this is a brilliant Christmas challenge blog (I started it many years ago with Mynn Kitchen) and it’s a perfect way to get organised with Christmas crafting. In The Frame.

Yesterday was birthday and my lovely husband bought me some crafting stash. Unfortunately he duplicated an ink pad (Distress Ink - Tea Dye) but the craft shop where he bought it were very kind and let me exchange it for something else. That something was a fab little Crafty Individuals stamp. So I raced home, turned my craft room upside down looking for my EZ Mount, and made this card for this week's Less is More  challenge. This week the girls wanted a one layer card with the theme 'In the Frame' Here is my card I made this by first masking off an area in the center of the card - directly on to a 5" x 5" white card blank. Then using my brayer I added some yellow, blue and green ink to the card. The masks were removed and the image was stamped over the brayered square.
